is anyone else a little annoyed by the fact that the AFL website has killed DT Talk?
all the seem to talk about now is the Matchday game... which no one really likes
no more good segments - like Golden Stubby/Green Vest/Special Guests/Rookies, no more awesome tunes like Blink going into segments, no more jokes or banter
no more "DTs alright with me DTs alright ohhhhhhhhhh YEH!"

my Thursday night ritual after footy training was to watch DT Talk live then the footy show and get all my trades ideas for the weekend sorted, now a video comes up barely once a month and its only 3 or 4 minutes long with bugger all actual info then what is blatantly obvious

Calvins Captains for me has died cause you can only find it on the AFL website and you have to scroll down or go to another page to even find it - theres no cool/funny graphics or anything

its just not good anymore - taken all the fun out of it

Yeh gotta agree, did like the original show. After 5 rounds i cant even be bothered going to the AFL site to find now. Bring back the old show asap.

Which is sad cos I actually like the look and feel of AFL Fantasy.

yeh i like the look of it, apart from the trade system but RDT and SC have gone that way too so its all g
just AFL dumping Virtual Sports and going for Fan Hub I feel was a bit of a fail at the start there, so many crashes round the opening game

i liked the AFL website being for the amatuers with Dr Dream Team (Dr Fantasy) leading the way with Nick Dal Santo

the old DT Talk just had more character

i think i'm following both sites a bit more closely than you fellas and I don't agree ... i'm finding the material easily enough and they've brought in a few more peeps to help them populate the DT Talk site with stuff so they can concentrate on their official AFL site stuff.

browny, i just access Calvin's Capts and their other stuff on the site by checking the 'Fantasy' area under the "Fan Zone" topic on the AFL site.

i think good for them cos they weren't really getting paid much (as far as i can tell, aside from a bit of advertising/sponsorship every now and then) for it before, so why crucify them for getting something back for putting up a fair bit of content - at least they sh*t all over the self proclaimed 'Dr' Dream Team.  ;)

they've got a wkly Monday podcast and a video that usually goes up on the Thurs/Fri (i agree not as good as their 'original' live Thurs night vid) which they cross-promote on the DT Talk site but really, how can you complain about info and commentary that is decent about the comps we love when you don't have pay (as opposed to the HUN and 'evil' empire  ;))??  ;)

they've obviously had to 'tone down' a little bit to comply with the 'commercial' aspect, but that's the trade-off when you're not indy - again, good on 'em i think - why would you begrudge them??

I dont begrudge anyone success and certainly not the boys not to many here would, goodluck to them. But i do miss the relaxed style and say what they wanted Thursday night show, for me that was the attraction. Looked forward to it but if im honest, now i look at it when i remember or see it up on the site. Still use the DT Talk site always will, it's got alot of good content and imput but as i said i do miss the old Thursday show, cant stop progress.

I agree with Grazz and J though. All the content is available and the same except the show - but that's the trade off.
