IT HAS not taken long for Matt Crouch to acclimatise to life at the top level, with the Adelaide midfielder named the round five NAB AFL Rising Star nominee.

Crouch, who turned 19 on Monday, won the nomination after his standout 28-possession effort in the Crows' win over Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

Congrats to the kid

This kid is a serious ball magnet. There are some doubts over his pace and kicking, but he looked right at home on Sunday.

Think I read somewhere he was using the ball at 85% Disposal efficiency! Was cheering him on at the ground every time he got the ball. I had some doubts before the season but he has proved me wrong. Well Done Matt!

Good stuff. Probably just pipped Billings.

I'm sure Billings will be nominated in time further down the track, both look good

Bill Manspeaker

man :(

nah good on him. didn't see him play but having 28 possies in 3 quarters is a hell of an effort. good on him

Seeing a certain Brother was robbed by a possible freak last year, Matty could go close this, with no midfield freaks standing out at a club that didn't need him .....  Too far? ???

The way he's going Matt could and should play 10-15 games now, might need 18 odd to win the RS but nobody really setting it alight yet, Dunstan the obvious benchmark, Boyd looked ok too. The other Saint from his first game could be the one yet, that boy is a freak
