Agree with u bully. A beautiful player to watch. Perfect blend of inside and outside. I have been eyeing him up as my first mid upgrade for weeks.
But a few things concern me.

Firstly, the dogs midfield has a lot of fantasy relevant scorers. Cooney Boyd griff Libba macrae and dalhaus.
It was only Libba and griff scoring last year really.
Second is his back. Dodgy backs don't go away and Griffen gets smashed.
Third is the tag. Which he had all last year, but hasn't dealt with this year. Libba had it against Carlton and didn't do fk all until curnow got injured in the last quarter.
I think it's gonna b hard for him to get back to 115+.
I think he will end up around the 105-110 mark. 105 will make him an average M8. 110 will make him a good one...

And for all these reasons.. ill pass

i have Libba already really not sure if i want 2 Dogs in my mids

Doesn't bother me 1 bit as R9 Libba and Buckley are the only mids I wont have playing, so if Griffen is priced well and I can afford him I will snap him up, but with that being said downgrades, and getting as much rookies as I can on the bubble is more of a priority for me then getting a bottomed out premo, so I may have to pass on him for a while

Cotchins the one I want to get in at round 9 bye.

I will be doing everything to get him in as he should still be cheap and Deledio should be back by then to take the tag off him.

enzedder

He's locked in. Very cheap for what you'll get in return. From here on in I'd think he'll be one of the top mids. His last couple of games showed he is back to full fitness and form...lovely to see as he bled cash. Will be a welcome addition to my mid set up with GAJ Pendles Rockliff and Beams. Got my super premium for R8 and R10.

love to bring him in but gotta build the war chest.
gonna have to wait a week.

Whoever mentioned Griffin copping a tag clearly didnt watch him play last year. Was the only player who got tagged for us and still ran an absolute muck.

after i bring in Roberston/Lloyd in for Ellis/Rohan (bench cover) i'll have 800K in the kitty.
then i'll start upgrading all my midpricers who are doing ok, but its premo time.

May/Merrett/MThomas/Higgins out.

I got no idea to pick between griff or swan. Bye structure doesnt worry me but i got no idea which one to go is there any chance griff will drop to around 460k cause then i could get both but got no idea which one im going for
If both will be in your team then get Griff now or next week and build cash to get Swan Round 9 after his bye. Will really help you.

All reasonable comments, he's certainly not the most reliable player when it comes to fitness but this can be counter balanced by his tendency to pump out extra large scores. Still haven't decided whether to bring in another bubble boy or jump on Griff. Roos confessing his Tyson mistake has got me thinking.

I think after that I'll give Tyson a bit more time.

Griffen is such a hard one. Last season he was amazing, but every year before that he's been that player that never quite lived up to expectations.

I'm going to give him another fortnight. The Dogs have Adelaide then Essendon, which should give a better idea on his form. Hopefully his price will still be around 530-540k

Last thing you want is to trade him in and he goes back to averaging 105. And with all the mouths to feed in the Dog's midfield that could potentially happen.

smashbox

105-110 is still a great average for someone costing 500,000.

frogjumper

He has had a consisten average over the last 3 years
108 106 116

Even if he bottoms out at 106 average that is not too bad for a 500k premo.
