which one would you go? only like 2k between them in price. which one will be more consistent in your opinion?

cheers

LF

I like them both
Simpson is so consistent and durable but has a lower ceiling than Hanley
Hanley has the higher ceiling but is inconsistent and he gets tagged

My preference is Simpson and then to consider upgrading to Hanley later on

Mr.Craig

Which Kade Simpson are you going to get? The one who didn't go 100+ in his 14 games of 2013 or the one who scored 100+ in 7 of his last 10 games? :-\ Hanley has his ups and downs too, in the end they are probably going to be right in that 83-87 zone together.

I would go Hanley personally.

Bill Manspeaker

I guess it's a bit of a win-win. both are likely to be top 6-8 defenders for the year, so may not even matter who I choose.

I only ever go for a league win, so I guess this isn't really a make or break decision.

will let the poll go and see what happens though!

cheers LF and Craig

Mr.Craig

I know that a player's average has many different factors and variables but it's concerning that many of Carlton's ball winners dropped off in average last year after Mick became coach.

McLean - 2012 (100.2), 2013 (86.5)
Carrazzo - 2012 (90.7), 2013 (62.7)
Judd - 2012 (90.4), 2013 (81.9)
Gibbs - 2012 (91.9), 2013 (88.8)
Simpson - 2012 (93.5), 2013 (85.2)
Robinson - 2012 (92.9), 2013 (75.9)
Murphy - 2012 (101.3), 2013 (85.5)

That's a drop of 13.4 per player. :-\

Ricochet

Yeh but Carlton as a group dropped away significantly as they learnt Mick's new game plan. They also had quite a few key players miss a lot of games. I'd expect a lot of them to bounce back this year

Bill Manspeaker

alrighty so it's looking like Simpson would be the preferred option.

those stats are a little alarming though Craig, but as Rico said a couple of them should hopefully bounce back after a year under Mick.

c'monnnnn Kadey
