Poor scores from popular picks

Looking at the latest fantasy freko email, i'm curious to know weather some of the unusually low scores posted by some of the more popular dt picks across the league are a result of   -  poor form / Time on ground / played out of position / etc etc.

Anyone have any ideas on why these guys scored so lowly?

Murphy, Marc 39 -- 1st game back from injury + losing team
Waite, Jarrad 21 -- 1st game back from injury + losing team
Mitchell, Sam 42 -- weather conditions + losing team.. ?
Grimes, Jack 59
Swallow, Andrew 37  -- weather conditions?
Anthony, Liam 55 -- weather conditions?
Malceski, Nick 43
Goodes, Adam 35 -- New CHF role gonna kill his dt potential?
Dangerfield, Patrick 49
Simpson, Kade 31

Thought it was an interesting topic as the time for finalizing teams draws closer.
Feel free to throw up other players you've noticed had underwhelmed on the weekend.

i think murphy has been playing more conservatively due to injury/fitness concerns, they just wanted him to have a run around and were pleased he got through.

I dont want to comment on any of the others coz im not really sure but it was the NAB cup... clubs plays a team they would usually get shot for naming, just to warm up stars and introduce rookies. So a lot of guys play half games, 3qtr games etc.

Malceski just got back from injury so give him some time and Dangerfield wont score really high that frequently, he'll be in the midfield but will have to assist up forward every so often. I'm not sure whether or not he played up forward just in the NAB cup, but i'd expect him to add another 20-30 points come round one.

Jarrad waite apparently isnt ready, so rub him out.

retract that last statement (just vented anger from him letting me down last year in DT), he IS ready, but he's had an injury... so he might be iffy at times

From that list I'd only worry about Goodes, because of his new roll. Hell though, he won a Brownlow as a ruckmen, one as a midfielder, now perhaps he wants one as a forward?

just so you know swallow and simpson aren't popular.
