Confused with McDonald and rookies

Have McDonald, Laidler, Langdon and Langford as defense rookies along with Michie, Tyson, Ellis, Polec, Dunstan as mid rookies.
Pretty happy with all but am I mad not to open up a def/mid link using McDonald?

I don't really want to but by moving McDonald to mids and maybe getting Georgio for Dunstan it would open up a link.
But not sure on Georgio. Or do I just back my rookies to pump out scores where they are.

At this stage I plan to put Langford as D6 and have McDonald on bench (Langdon has E on bench already unfortunately)

Sorry I can't tell - who are your benched mids?  With the exception of Dunstan, they're too expensive to sit on the bench.

Can you get Taylor onto the mid bench?  That could save you some coin and give you some mid DPP (albeit to the fwds not the backs)

If it means trading Dunstan for Georgiou, absolutely 100% DO NOT hahahah. I didn't quite follow what you meant but I think this is what you were asking hahaha.

Plus McDonald is poised to score pretty well if unvested, you might not want him stuck at M10 when he could be on the field down back.

A M/D DPP link would be nice, but if it means selecting Georgiou over Dunstant then I wouldn't.
