Just wondering if anyone is seriously going through with this idea and if so how? And can It benefit in the long run?

Nah don't do it man. It's a waste, I'd much rather take the extra rookie for cash generation. It will allow you to get a premium team faster too.

I am considering getting his score.  Would use the jayden hunt option that RD came up with in a previous thread.  Figure I could always move him on next week for Kk.  Yeah I lose one trade, but we all make corrections early in the year.  Maybe that 111 might help in the overall at year end?

A lot of assumptions there Vinny, first of all the rookie situation is far from settled. Georgiou & Langford may or may not be around for significant cash generation. If they tear it up in the first 2 rounds then one can sideways trade to the best option, in fact cash generation can be more accurately predicted after 2 rounds. Then there's the issue of points, after all that's what this game is all about.

At this stage I am still going with my Jayden Hunt idea. It will allow me to swing him to D6, move LMac to M10 this week (even better if LMac is sub in first game) and then I get Langdons score. I still need to fill D7 and that will either be Langford or Georgiou

In 2 weeks time when it's time to do a correction trade or two, depending on how Crouch and Laidler go I might need to get one of them as they seem to be the only 2 potentially decent rookies that I wont have, and at that time I could get rid of Hunt, or pass on them both because I have all the best rookies already

Sounds a bit silly to start Hunt only to trade him 2 weeks later for Crouch or Laidler, but it does allow me to loophole rookies for the first two weeks and there is every chance that Laidler and Crouch don't turn into must haves, therefor keeping Hunt and sticking to the plan will work

Still need to think about this a bit more

I have kinda fluked being able to get langdons score ... i already had kadekolo and put the e on langdon and kolo on field ready to swap him out if langdon scored poorly ... will look like a stupid decision having kadekolo if he doesnt play next week but my mail is he is in the team for round 2

I think it was a shrewd move, well done.

The more you talk about it, the more it makes sense. I'm also tempted but will wait for the final teams to be announced.
