Hill has improved every year which is a positive sign but I think his ceiling is 95, and that would be generous. Outside players are rarely SC friendly, they may look fantastic on the football field but they don't generate the points required.

As for Shiels, I think he will struggle to return to a 90 average but at least he's cheap. You certainly won't lose money.

that is exactly right ... he is an outside player and when i made my initial comment i couldnt think of why i wouldnt pick him but this is why

Brad Hill will be a freak......... I have watched him very closely. As pointed out hjis stamina and build needs to be worked on for him to come into consideration.

It might be his year though; did some fantastic work last year in a very competitive Hawks side.

SHIELS........hmmmmmmmmmmmmm very interesting, now I'm stumped as well.

Just for say curiosities sake, how about Brad Hill  ?  Showed heaps last season and should have built his stamina up which was really his only weakness. Be very interesting seeing how the Hawks pick their team. Cheers all.    ;)

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! If a beep test record wasnt stamina, I dont know what is...

NDS was almost purely an outside player and look how went 3-4 seasons ago..

There are exceptions to the rule but they are rare, most years the top 10 are inside/outside mids who can win truckloads of contested footy. I would anticipate Brad Hill to keep improving but not sufficient enough to lock him in for SC. It's the same reason I won't consider his brother.
