B: Mitchell, Hanley, Enright, D Swallow, Webster, McDonald (Langdon, Langford)

M: Gaj, Pendles, Cotchin, Beams, Tyson, Michie, Polec, Ellis (Dunstan, Lemmens)

R: Mumford, Sandi (Hickey, Thurlow)

F: Danger, Dusty, T Mitchell, Caddy, Higgins, Rohan (JKH, Towers)

Leftover cash: $12k

All set bar rookies. Still looking at: Georgiou, Clurey, M Crouch and a few others.

Rucks I've gone mid pricers to spend money elsewhere.  Hickey on the bench is a bit pricey but is insurance for Sandi.  He will be no 1 ruck at saints and by himself til Longer gets back on the park.

Gone guns and rookies in the mids to save on trades as I feel rookies chosen are better cash cows than Daisy, Shiels, Savage etc.  Don't feel either of those 3 will be top 8 mids at seasons end.

Going for league win only so not overly fussed by bye rounds.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You have very strong Mids but this has left every other line looking weak

I'm not a big fan of the 3 mid price ruck strategy - but that's me. I'd rather have one premium/keeper especially while carrying Sandi.

I have a similar fwd line but much stronger backs and rucks - to afford this i have 4 prems 6 rookies in the mids though

The rucks have concerned me, but I just don't trust the big priced rucks this year.  I think I will see which big names are firing mid season and change up then.  Hopefully Sandi lasts the year so I can keep him, then I only have to upgrade one of Hickey/Grundy and leave the other as bench cover (insurance for finals).  Not sold on Suckling, but unsure of better options at that price.

yeah understand your concerns with the rucks - there is no real standouts for a R1 without paying big while there are also a few who should improve on last years efforts. If you feel that way go with your gut.

your backs look very risky with unproven Swallow at D3  - if you could upgrade to McVeigh or even Enright (super consistent) it then gives you 3 definite premiums and three cash cows - you would need to downgrade a mid prem to do this though. If you could upgrade Suckers and move swallow to D4 it would look even better

Made a couple changes:

Out: Suckling, Libba

In: Mackie, Macrae.

Was thinking Enright and Daisy, could still do that.  Atm I have $98k in the coffers though.

I really like Enright - wont be the best defender this year but you will get consistent scoring and if he is not top 6 he will be very close. Consistency is rare among defenders so he is locked for me as a set and forget.

Macrae and Daisy - can't see either being a keeper - Daisy has the runs on the board but has injury concerns while Macrae is only 2nd year but could be similar to Wingard last year.

As a Doggie supporter I really hope Macrae smashes it this year but I am going with a 4/0/6 midfield so have neither

Made a couple changes above.  Think it looks a bit better now.  Just unsure about Tyson as M5.  Was thinking he was a better option than Martin or Toumpas and I still have $44k left.
