Midprice mayhem, or upside galore?

Hey guys,

As with everyone I've done a few hundred versions of my team. One I'm keen to get some feedback on has quite a few midpricers. A risky strategy I know, but I think there's a real upside to all of them, and a few could be premos too.

Def: Mitchell, Hanley, Hurn, Suckling, Webster, McDonald (Langford, Cutler)

Mid: Gablett, Pendles, Murph, Beams, Thomas, Tyson, Polec, Ellis (Sheed, Dunstan)

Ruck: NicNat, Sandi (Thurlow, King)

Fwd: Danger, Martin, Buddy, Wright, Caddy, Higgins (Merrett, JKH)

I've usually picked a more prem/rookie team, but there are so many tempting underpriced guys this year...

Would appreciate some thoughts on this

Mate - I love the strategy. I thought about it and posted something similar a couple of weeks back. The response was pretty consistent - "a complete rebuild is in order". But if you are resigned to losing 2/3 games early, knowing you probably have a lot of cash and can upgrade anytime to change that it is doesn't work then I think I will be doing something similar.

Coaches tends to spend a lot of cash early but having $150k+ going into a Supercoach season I believe is key to having a a strong team at the end. I take this strategy each year and 4 of 5 years finished in the GF's in most of my leagues. (Only won once but........)

I do think you need to stock your FWD and BACK lines with 1 more premium though each.
I would do away with Caddy, Higins and Webster and upgrade. I think the best value and points potential is in the midfield when we a talking midprice potential. And maybe Shuey in there instead of Thomas.

Good luck.

I like your team looks good! my issues are in your fwd line... danger and martin are fine... the rest are too risky IMO... all have upside as you said... last thing you want is people just sitting on there avg or going down... your forwards fit into that category for me... otherwise I like
