DEF: J. McVeigh, S. Mitchell, K. Simpson, L. Dunn, M. Suckling, L. McDonald (T. Clurey, T. Langdon)

McVeigh and Mitchell are locks as defenders. Simpson im hoping backs up his second half of last year, 29 possessions in the praccy match yesterday finalised his position in my side. Dunn is my POD, hoping he can get more of the ball with Melbournes high possession game plan, averaged well towards end of last year and NAB. Suckling is great value for someone who could go 80-85. McDonald seems like a good player who should get games. Rookies to be finalised by team announcements.

MID: G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, T. Liberatore, D. Beams, D. Tyson, V. Michie, J. Polec, X. Ellis (L. Dunstan, H. Cunningham)

Ablett and Pendles are the 2 best SC players so why not start them both! Libba im not sold on as I want M3 to score me 115+, however with an easy draw and improved endurance Im hoping he can do this, can be inconsistent at times and have a few stinkers but he also scores extremely high in some games. Beams is great value and never been out of my side. Tyson looks the goods as a key mid, could go around 80 hopefully. Michie and Polec looked good in NAB and ellis looks like he could do well if stays injury free. Dunstan a contested ball winning machine which is good for SC and Cunningham if named, got games in the finals last year and played well in NAB.

RUC: M. Leuenberger, A. Sandilands (F. Thurlow, M. King)

NicNat will be an upgrade target for me. Leuy should do well this year and average 100+. Sandi is amazing value for someone who could go anywhere between 80-105 if he stays injury free. Thurlow might get games with belly out early and King is the floating donut for captain loophole.

FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, L. Franklin, J. Caddy, S. Higgins, G. Rohan (M. McDonough, J. Kennedy-Harris)

Danger and Martin are locks. Buddy not sold on but considering his history of even going 115, I can't pass him at 487K, hopefully he explodes! Caddy is my breakout pick here, good pre season, less time as sub, more mid time, could go 75-85 hopefully. Higgins I've had for a while, only had to get through the game today to remain in the side and well, 33 possessions, not moving. Rohan there for JS and McDonough if he plays, looked good in NAB. JKH should get games as a small forward.

Ridiculous how similar our teams are!

You have Dunn, I have Hibberd (Who will change to Enright if he doesn't get up rd1)

You have Franklin, I have Pavlich

Everythiing else (barring 1 or 2 bench rookies) the same!

I am slightly concerned about Leuy. Brisbane has a tough early draw, and he shares the bye with Sandi, who could potentially still be firing for us come their bye.
