backs: McVeigh, Mitchell, Hanley, Hurn, Suckling, McDonald (Langford, Georgiou)

Mids: Ablett, Cotchin, Priddis, Beams, Thomas, Tyson, MIchie, Polec (Ellis, Cunningham)

Rucks: Mumford, Sandilands (Thurlow, Nankervis)

Forwards: Dangerfield, Martin, Gunston, Caddy, Higgins, Rohan (Kennedy-Harris, Lloyd)

$22,300 left over

Due to the lack of bacl rookies that i am confident in am going to go with a fairly strong defense with 4 prems and Suckling.

Mids are a bit of a gamble but hopefully will pay off. Having Gaj there for captaincy and the rest of the prems and Thomas being underpriced so hopefully they will score to there potential. Am going with expensive rookies due to the fact that i think they will score well and still make me alot of money.

Rucks are pretty straight forward Mumford due to the fact that in the last couple of years rucks at GWS and Gold Coast have scored well due to noone taking points off them and Mummy being a gun should dominate GWS scoring. and Sandi of course.

Forwards: not confident with many prems so taking Dander and Dusty and taking a punt with Gunston, Caddy and Missy. This is the area where i am taking my gamble with my mid pricers.

thoughts on this strategy, team and a rating would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Cortez

I have some thoughts for you to consider....
def: are you sold on McVeigh... he said the other night he will be back in the midfield rather than running off half back might drop $$$ (ill pick him up later).
I think there are actually a few good rookie options in the backline... id remove one of your 300K+ players for another rookie and use the cash on your MIDFIELD!!!
mids: rookies or solid Tyson is a must! I don't like Thomas... heres my opinion on him:he will probably cop the vest in first couple of rounds scoring weak... which means he will burn you... other option is he comes out killing it... you have 2 weeks to see before you need to trade him in... let him make you burn a trade on bringing him in... not trading him out... Priddas will score his avg... no upside go someone that is premium that should push that extra 5pt+ avg
rucks: similar dollar value to mine so no comment
fwd: like the stricter... only concern is rohan.. type his name into player research at the top of the screen and look at his history... I don't care how cheap he is... he is another that needs to prove to me to trade him in to my team. Not worry about who to trade him out for...

I don't rate teams... because its stupid... someone could give you a 50 out of 10... next guy could say 1 out of 10... its dumb... I give my advice on your selections do with it what you will.

Hi cortez!

Great team

I'm always a fan of having a strong backline, ever since 1 year when it felt I spent the entire year fixing it.

But yeah, has its drawbacks... Cotchin, despite being awesome, hasn't really gone into the super-elite SuperCoach scoring wise... And Priddis is what Priddis is, probably average not much more than 100...

I think, as you point out, that your forward line is too weak/risky. Gunston at #3...

I still like the team! Has risks, which could be great rewards....

... not sure if that helped at all

Cheers for the feedback guys, really appreciate it! Just my view on a couple of your concerns.

Yes McVeigh may drop in price but will he drop out of being a top 6 back? I don't think so.

Priddis well he had that donut last year which has affected his avg and also west coast had a shocking year I reckon if they have a decent year this year he could increase his avg back up to 110.

Cotchin - Tigers should improve this year along with Trent and hopefully him being ffully fit will let him join the super prems

Thomas - I just think he is too cheap to pass up and I can't see Mick vesting him, he thinks too much of him

And my forward line with Gunston well Im Taking a risk with him at F3 I'll admit that. If it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't, can't do any good in This thing without taking risks, personally I just have a feeling that he is going to have a really good year.

Just my thoughts on these players
Am I wishful in my thinking?

Hey Cortez

Nice team. I like your weakest forward being Rohan this sets your team apart. I am assuming you are wanting Pendles after the bye and your love for Cotchin is the reason you are not going Pendles. Even if Crowley keeps him to low score (barring any injury) IMO he will not be any cheaper after the byes.

I see the M3, F4, B4 & R1 as the spots where coaches need to back themselves and make tough decisions and I like your selections. Even Priddis very consistant, although most ppl wait til after his concussion game!

I am struggling to see a Round 8 captain choice in your team, however 7 rounds in you may have recruited one and you may get lucky with the loophole!

On another note if you have a spare League spot PM for a code for the High Rollers League!!

If you feel McV will drop in price, but still be in the Top 6 then why not make him a target ?

cortez

Who else do you think will be top 6 cause I don't know if blokes like Simpson, Rhomosont and Hanley Will be top 6 where I think McVeigh will be that is wby I have picked him.
