TEAM NAME: Help me out
DEF: J. McVeigh, S. Mitchell, K. Simpson, S. Hurn, M. Suckling, L. McDonald (T. Langdon, A. Georgiou)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, D. Beams, D. Thomas, V. Michie, X. Ellis, L. Dunstan (M. Crouch, M. Honeychurch)
RUC: M. Lobbe, A. Sandilands (F. Thurlow, R. Lobb)
FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, L. Franklin, J. Gunston, G. Rohan, J. Impey (J. Kennedy-Harris, L. Taylor)
CASH LEFT: $16,900

8/11/11 which I don't mind as I can have a solid team in round 8 and then trade also it evens it out as Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Danger and Martin will all be missing. Well that's my thoughts anyways.

Def: McVeigh, Mitchell and Simpson have been absouloute guns for years now and I don't see that changing and Imo they will be top 3 by the end of the year. Hurn had a bad year last year with injurys and he will be back to his best and I nice pod. SUckling is one of the locks of the years as I think he will go to about 75-80 average which is nothing to be upset about for your 5th defender and Lock McDonlad is one of the only rookies this year that I can see playeing over 20 games and I see him going around the same as Suckling.

Mid: Don't pick Ablett and Pendles at your own peril that's all I am saying about them. Watson is going to be the third best player this year behind Pendles and Ablett but I am still wary of all the ASADA business (is that all over yet ?). Beams and Thomas are both playing great in the NAB so they are huge locks. Michie, Ellis and Dunsten are my rookie priced players and may change although I really rate all of them.

Rucks: Lobbe may be out if he spuds it up tonight but if he gets a solid 80+ game I will be happy and I have gave into to all the facts about him and see him being the next Minson although I am a tad sceptical and am watching him very closely Sandi scored 90 and proved to me that he still has it.

Forwards: Danger and Martin are locks. Franklin is to good not to choose and his price and Gunsten is my breakout of the year and I think he will be a top 5 forward  :-X Rohan is a decent player and I think he will get up to 70ish and then I will basically pick the best player for 123k or below when teams are announced.

chuck it rate and tell me what to improve. Bench rookies will change also F6 but apart from that I think my team will stay the same. Tell me if there is anything to change.

Strong team, Extremely similar to mine so not too much to argue about from me. ASADA haven't wrapped up yet and that's part of the reason I won't be starting Watson but he's not a bad pick. I'm also not starting with Pendles, he was in my team for ages then I thought about it, he has to average 127 to keep his starting price which he may well do but I can't see him going up too much. Possibly come down in price - in 2012 his price dropped 122,400 over the season, and in 2013 dropped 73,100 over the season... Compare that with Cotchin who is 100k cheaper, and can almost certainly improve that. I think both will be in the top mids and both will be in my final team, however I think Cotchin's price is set to rise, whereas Pendles will more than likely fall, or at worst stay constant. Bye round mean you can't pick them all (You have to have GAJ or Pendles, little master is still no.1).
Just something to keep in mind if some of your rookies aren't named round 1 (I'm looking at you, benchies!)

Anthonyyyy

My rookies are almost certainly going to change and that is a very good point if I went Pendles to Cotchin I could make my forward line that little bit stronger which could make a huge difference but I think I have to go with Pendles as he came on as a sub and still managed to get 100.

D: don't see what the fuss is with Simpson and Hurn. Up and down like yo yos when the likes of Enright, Bartel and Walker are around. Hopefully won't eat my words. In saying that Simpson is solid without being spectacular and Hurn does have the easy draw.
M: set and forget, like it a lot. I'm still a bit wary with ASADA but you're right in suggesting Watson could be the 3rd highest scoring mid. Don't think Honeychurch gets a game.
R: solid like them a lot!
F: again perfect but I think a bit more depth maybe needed with the lack of rookies.
My only other suggestion is your funds. I think more $$$ will be needed come round 1 with the number of rookies playing. Maybe find a way to free up some cash..

Anthonyyyy

Simpson is going to be a gun this year but I am a carlton supporter ;) Isnt that good for Hurn if he does have an easy draw? I think you may be right with Honey Church just looking for that dpp thanks for the advice I will keep that in mind

Don't know what you mean about Hurn though?

felsty

Has his good games and bad games and doesn't have a majorly high ceiling while blokes such as Walker, Bartel even Enright can go big on their day much more often than Hurn does. Think he is a solid pick, I just think there are guys who are going to be better than him come the end of the year

Can agree to an extent nothing wrong with a solid pick though dont think I have ever seen a team that finishes with the highest avg players in every position

Strong team.

Def: Strong.  Hard to fault.

Mid:  Thomas makes me nervous, but I've been burned several times by him so that may be why.  Having said that I have been considering taking him over Murphy myself.  Watson could be a nice POD with many shying away with the ASADA thing hanging around.  Reckon you should take a look at Polec after his performances so far in the NAB.

Ruc: Lobbe didn't really impress in his first outing tonight.  Here's hoping that he'll be a bit like Goldstein last year.

Fwd: Like the first 4, though prefer Rohan at f6 if you take him.  Impey has failed to impress so far and Taylor is not yet sited (I think he's injured) so not sure about the job prospects.  I actually think after this years NAB that this years fwd rookies are going to be leaner than the defenders.

Anthonyyyy

yeah I can do a straight swap for Pyke if Lobbe doesn't impress and I think I could actually go for someone like McIntosh also and upgrade Impey or a rookie up to someone like Higgins so theres a few options but im trying not to read to far into the nab cup because I think players like Wright whos been impressing will spud up in the actual season.

Solid team here Anthony not really much what fault. Premiums look good across all positions as well as rookies but obviously they will change come round 1. Your forward is identical to mine.   Have you given the thought about some POD players? The team here is great but seems pretty stock standard. Gotta risk it to get the biscuit!
