222k, round 8 bye and a mediocre nab challenge, how many are starting him?

AaronKirk

Have not had him in my side for a while. He had to tear the NAB challenge up to be considered at his price which he has not.

The positive is that he has JS but there are cheaper options which have showed more in the NAB matches. Not in my side.

yeah won't consider unless all of a sudden the mid rookie selection dries up on the eve of round 1

1 kick playing Brisbane not looking too good ATM.

He will get better. If we select him we have to be prepared to keep him longer than most rookies. Could take a while to make $$ - and if that's the case won't be scoring well at least to start with..

Really depends on other rookies I'm still undecided.

Gigantor

Hard to judge at the moment
No GAJ, Swallow, Prestia or O'meara today
The Contested possession ratio was good as well as his tackle count, the one kick is a worry.
I don't mind the top rookies being expensive, makes people think about selections more, last year O'Meara was way too cheap, takes the challenge out of initial team selection.

Have not had him, and have given my reasons before, but here again:

He can have all the talent in the world, but he has the body of a kid his age, and 220k is just way too much to pay

Will he be better than JOM? Will he be one of the best players in the comp in years to come? The answers to these questions could quite easily be Yes, but that has no influence on right now

If he was 117k, even 170k then sure, but for his price, and body type playing against grown men I am not touching him

If he goes crazy over the first few rounds then I will eat humble pie and trade him in

What's the difference between getting one kick agianst Brisbane and one kick agianst any other club?

Was either him or Rocky, tonights game has put Rocky ahead .

Lots of good mids, jmart will be good but not sure this year.

Agree with all the comments about his price, I'm looking at it more from a profit perspective. JOM was worth his weight in gold because he was priced low so when he averaged 90 he made a stack of money. Even if JMart comes in and averages 100 he doesn't make as much because he starts at 100k more to begin with... the hypothetical extra 10 points on the average is only about 50k in price. So to make you as much money as a 123k rookie he has to average 20 points more. I think there's cheaper options like Xellis who will ultimately make more money for you. Plus for me the money saved helps bring in another prem. Hard to say no.
