;D ;D :) ;)       Last season I had A Walker and Stevie J in and out up until the first bounce, when I started without them. Cost me heaps. Stevie J I left out because he was suspended for Rd.1. just like Cyril Rioli is this year. I had to go back 18 pages to find a thread on Cyril and most were canning him because of his hammys. My SC Gold trial has expired and will renew it next week but wondering what % of teams have him in. If it's less than 10% then I'm very strongly thinking of locking him in at F4. FWD line would then be :-
Dangerfield,   D Martin,   L Franklin,   C Rioli,   J Darling,   G Rohan,   J Impey,   J Kennedy-Harris. I think it's very possible that having to sit out Rd.1, the absence of Franklin and the havoc that may be caused by Rioli, Hill and Garlett all running around the mid/For line together will see Rioli kill it in the early rounds. So am I insane, inept or perhaps on the right track ??
Any thoughts and suggestions welcome  ??   ??   ??     :-\ :-\
ANNNNNyyyy at all  ??  how about if I make it out of   Rioli,   T Mitchell,   D Zorko,   M Wright   ??

i would very suprised if any more than 5% of teams have Cyril especially seeing as he will miss round 1, so if you take him your playing a rookie in his place for a round which could be a difference of 40 points or so....so you would have to be expecting Cyril to a) play the whole year which im not sure if hes done before and b) outscore other options by enough to make up for his round 1 missing

I would have been expecting that but forgot about the possible backline switch. Thanks mate    :(
Have taken all options on board and have switched Cyril to M Wright for now.   :-\ :-\

I have a sound mind  :o and jumped on cyril late last year  :o and agree Wright is very tempting at his price there is just the ? over what his role will be I'm actually thinking about Robinson  :o

Typhnn

A. Walker = 7.62%
S. Johnson = 0%

maybe a few ppl have SJ but seems not many...

I would advise against it. I am a massive Cyril fan, and he has been part of my team for at least 3 years. I was contemplating the same theory, whether missing one round is a big loss.  At 40-60 points more than  the rookie you'd be fielding its probably not a huge difference if Cyril outscores whatever prem you would choose instead by 2-3 points per round.
What's turned me off is reading somewhere recently that he is going to be more managed this year (no link sorry, can't remember where i saw it). He won't be rotated as much through the mids, especially with so many other guys now capable of mid rotation. I know Cyril has never gotten his scores based on big possession stats, but with less mid time you can't help but think his SC scores decrease. As mentioned, there is no link, so I hope my scrambled memory is remembering the report correctly. But whatever it said it was enough for me to delete him out of my watchlist.

But I don't mind the theory of picking a guy missing round 1 only - it creates a rare POD. I have Joey Montagna under heavy consideration based on the same thinking.

Typhnn

Rioli - 4.62%
Wright - 3.44%

No drama's...

I'd take what i wrote with a big grain of salt - while he may not be in the mids, based on both nabs he could have a bit of that half back sweeper role that hodgey and mitchell have done over the last couple of years
