FIRST-ROUND draft picks Jack Billings and Luke Dunstan were among the eye-catching performers in St Kilda's intra-club game that was played in stifling heat on Saturday morning.

Billings, who was the third player taken in last year's NAB AFL Draft, produced a polished performance in the midfield during the first half, winning a number of possessions and using the ball efficiently.

Dunstan is probably the biggest rookie lock this year

He's going to be a beast! No injury concerns and fit. Should play well over 10-15 games this year.

I would really like some info on Minchington from the saints fans. Do you think he will play round 1? Does he take the milne/schneider/saad spot?

it's all in his hands I guess. can't even remember if he played our first NAB game (if he did, didn't notice him from what I can remember) and I think he's playing tomorrow in place of Jack Steven, so he'll have to show something/train really well to make sure he gets a place in our round 1 team. I'm pretty certain he will get games sometime this year, just depends on how well he plays

if you're looking for a cheap option for fantasy, I'd look elsewhere mate. he has a bit of talent but I really don't know how reliable he'll be.

hope he proves me wrong and absolutely smashes it this year

Templeton looked good in the first game. Are there any spots for an elevation?

Minchington cut from the squad after being a late call-up for Steven. Not holding my breath when it comes to his prospects unfortunately :(

They already have 40 on the main list, so no upgrades are available unless someone gets put on the LTI list.

Only Saint I'll start with. Well...I might start with Webster too.

Lewis Pierce is out for 12 weeks and should be put on the LTI list. This could mean Weller or Templeton get elevated  :)

With Steven out and lacking big bodies in the midfield Mav's 87 kgs v Eli's 73 might've given him the nod.
Weller's suspension means even if he is upgraded he won't play R1 anyway.
Minchington is the other one that will be considered. He should play this week v Port.
