Yeah Yeah Doc, I couldn't help myself and kept tinkering  :P

I have decided to back myself in and go with the light midfield in order to strengthen up all other lines and not rely on poor rookie options to be on the field. Being a premo mid down we can assume I will start slower, but with that being said I feel as though most teams going with the added premo mid will be weaker in other areas and the points I lose in the mid will be made up elsewhere

DEF: Mitchell, Hanley, Simpson, Enright, Suckling, McDonald (Cutler, Georgiou)

MID: Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Thomas, Tyson, Polec, Ellis, Dunstan (Robertson, Honeychurch)

RUC: Goldstein, Sandilands (Derickx, King)

FWD: Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Pavlich, Caddy, Higgins (Kennedy-Harris, Lloyd)

* I can downgrade Goldstein to Leuy or NicNat, and then upgrade Robertson to Michie, which moves Dunstan to M9

* M10 will be a DPP to forward, because having a forward line without rookies on field means that if a mid rookie goes missing a week or so I can swing a fwd into the mids and move JKH onto the field as I expect him to play most weeks

* Besides JKH all other rookies on bench are pending rd1 teams

defs do not start goldy. apart form that, good luck :D

Your mids are too weak IMO with Daisy at M4. Either upgrade Daisy or Tyson to a prem.

I'd definitely not start with Goldy- too much $$ to fork out for a ruck- Leuey or Nic Nat as you said are better starting options.

How to upgrade a mid is a challenge- I wouldn't get sucked in to picking Caddy- If he is not a Keeper I wouldn't start him at his price- Rohan at F6 seems a much stronger option.

If you go Goldy to Nic Nat and Caddy to Rohan you would have $250,500 to upgrade Thomas to a premo- lets for argument sake say Rockliff

Goldy (100-115) + Thomas (80-90) +  Caddy (75-85) = 255-290

Nic Nat (100-115) + Rockliff (105-120) + Rohan (65-75) = 270-310

Thanks for the replies guys - Yeah I doubt I would actually start with Goldy, don't want to spend that much, but Cox or NicNat is who I would want I think

Caddy I am not excited about myself, but Rohan is someone I just think I don't want, but I might just have to bite the bullet and pick him due his JS, although I know his scoring is garbage

I should also add I don't usually start with mid pricers, but Daisy and Caddy would only need to average 80+ to increase in value to about 450k+, making them easy to upgrade to premiums later, but in the meantime they have the JS that the rookies don't have

I really need to see how NicNat goes against Freo coming up, because with such an interrupted preseason he could miss games if his OP or back issues flare up again, even though his underpriced and is so much value at 518k
