you have to use 92.5 % of the salary cap each year, so the most the hawks can have left over is like 680k... which would be a sizable pay to be fair :P

but I'm pretty sure the buddy money was redistributed to keep other players...

What i think they would have done (What i would have done) would be to redistribute the money to front end everyones contracts so we have the cash to splash on fyfe or whoever we target. Big Boy woulda got some of it too.

Not worried at all.  Mundy, McPharlin and Pav all put off their contract talks til the end of the season and they are all still with the club.

Difference is, Fyfe will be being offered the world to move interstate.

That's no different to Mundy or Pav.  From reports Mundy took about 150k a season less to stay with Freo with his last contract and I am sure Adelaide and Port offered a squillion bucks for Pav during his last 2 contract negotiations.
