Hi Guys,

Had another account that stuffed up so created this one. Haven't posted in awhile but wouldn't mind some feedback on my team. I finished top 6000 last year which was my best so far.

I'm pretty happy with it. Only worry is F4, F5, F6. I'm happy with the strength of my mids and  I think my backs are pretty standard. Obviously I have no idea on rookies until post NAB cup so I'm not too fussed on that.

Last year my strategy was to trade hard and trade early and it worked quite well except for the last week where I lost the final due to injuries and no trades.

Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Set up:

Backs: McVeigh J, Mitchell S, Shaw H, Suckling M, Kolodjashnij K, McDonald L, (Cutler T, Fuller M. )

Midfield: Ablett G, Swan D, Fyfe N, Murphy M, Beams D, Thomas D, Martin J, Dunstan L, (Morabito A, Taylor L)

Rucks: Lobbe M, Sandilands A (Lobb R, Nankervis T)

Forwards: Dangerfield P, Riewoldt N, Franklin L, Caddy J Hogan J, Kennedy-Harris J, (Bourke J, Garlett D)
Cash Left: $6900

Backs : Shaw good POD, I think he can do damage this year, he may get tagged, but GWS will still get blown out a lot so teams might not bother. He never plays 22 games though so be aware. Other then that solid picks.

Mids : Swan great pick, everyone will go pendles so could be a great POD. Murphy & beams are must haves or at least 1, Thomas makes me nervous, but everyone is picking him so why not.

Rucks : Lobbe great end to 2013, but just watch carefully? Any interest in Goldstein, best ruck in the league?

Fwd : N.Roo could be a risk this year. Great player but saints might finish bottom. Good POD though he looks fitter then ever. Don't get fooled by Caddy maybe just keep watch had a nice game last night but might fade when the real stuff stars. Just my opinion though.

Overall pretty solid, just wait on the rookies and see if you can make any small changes. Otherwise not a bad starting line up.

Hi mate,  good foundation.  My feedback is not taking into acct the rookies at this stage.

B:  7/10.  Could be stronger but is still more than fine for rd1.   I think Shaw will get tagged out of games at GWS.  Id look at another premium defender such as S Thompson or downgrade to a DPP such as D Swallow.  Im not sure having  suckling as your d4 after a knee reco is a smart move. I have him as my D5 as will be rusty and prone to the red vest as the hawks will manage him.

M: 9/10 IMO.  Love fyfe as POD.  You really have 6 100+ scores in there and rookies look fine too.

R:  6/10 Not sold on Lobbe but not too concerned with rucks.

F: 7/10.  Could be wrong but surely N Roo cant average 100 anymore.  The young saints disposal will be average at best and will be tough for the champ.   Love Caddy as POD, especially after watching him last night.  Breakout year.

Overall mate, very good.  Im sure it will change 100 times before rd 1 haha like all of us.

Please look at my team:

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Shaw as a POD, that was the plan. You make a good point about tagging but I am happy to see how he goes and then maybe sideways trade before price rises.

Lobbe is a bit of a risk, but he's been talked up a bit so worth the risk I think.

I am trying not to change my team too much before opening round this year as I think my initial gut is what helped me select the current premiums. That said, E-Lem, you make a good point about N Roo and perhaps I could select someone like D Martin and free up a tiny bit of cash.

Still keen to take a risk on Caddy, but now might need to look at fitting Gunston in there somewhere. Perhaps N Roo > Gunston?
