People still getting sucked into premium players performances in Nab challenge games.  boy oh boy ::)

+1 Ridiculous! Wouldn't touch Cox! Several 'safer' premiums that should average higher, as well as many value picks that could either average the same as him, or make a tonne of cash. At least 10 options i'd take over him for different reasons.

Cant think of a single 'safe' ruck premium.

i am not picking cox ... but these comments about getting sucked in are ridiculous ... did u watch the game??? have u been to the training sessions ? do u have an idea at all?? ... cox looks fitter than what he has looked for years ... its not at all about getting sucked in by nab cup the bloke is still the best ruckman in the comp right now

Cox is an absolute legend and well worth considering as the only real set and forget ruck candidate. 22 games for 107 average last year, and has been arguably the most consistent prem ruckman for the past few years...

2012 - Cox 22 games 112 point average - #1 ruck on total points, average only beaten by Maric (113 from 21 games) and NicNat (114 from 20 games). Minson and Goldy were 7th and 9th in the top 10, played 21 and 20 games and averaged 95 and 93 respectively.

2013 - Cox 22 games 107 point average - #3 ruck on total points, beaten by Goldy and Minson, who were the only ones to average more also (114 and 113 respectively). Maric was number 9 with 19 games for an average of 97. NicNat 21st, 11 games for 96 average (obviously injury affected).

In the last 4 years he has played 22 games for an average of >100 points every year, though I concede his scores have declined the last couple of years (2011 he averaged 122 points) - but it's important to keep that in context, he was still the #1 and #3 scoring ruckman in the comp, so it wasn't like others were taking him over, rucks in general scored less.

He can still score very well with NicNat in the team as he showed in 2012, and when you look at their scores when playing together last year it doesn't really seem like they can't score well playing together - excluding NicNat's sub game in the 10 games they played toether Cox average 95 and NicNat averaged 105 - looks bif but NicNat was helped by a couple of 140 games against GWS and North Melb. in the other 8 games they were mostly within 10 points of each others score, apart from a 23 and 34 point difference (Cox scoring higher in both cases)...

The ONLY real concern I have is him getting older but until there's reason to believe it's affecting his ability there's nothing really to worry about.
