Briefly:
Tom Mitchell - $488,700, 12 games, 2013 avg: 90.17

Dayne Zorko - $400,100, 22 games, 2013 avg: 73.82

Dilemma questions:
* Is Titch over-priced and likely to suffer similar '2nd year blues' to Zorko ver2013??
* Will Zorko overcome said 2013 '2nd year blues' and get back to his 2012 breakout scoring 90-100s in 2014??

cheers,
jas

I'd be looking at Zorko over Mitchell, but won't have either in my team. Mitchell overpriced for where he is at for the moment. Will be a great player, but just not worth that coin yet. Zorko a chance of getting back to good scoring, but who knows how Leppa will use him.

Zorko will be used in the small forward role.  Both Zorks and Green have been training had and using their speed to try and keep ball in forward 50. This is part of the new game plan and if it develops well can see Zorko getting more possessions and increasing scoring.

Heard that Zorko came back in good shape just gotta wonder how some of these players will go post Voss this season think I might go the Zork

Ricochet

Neither tbh. Both have uncertainty linked to their roles and are far too risky

Interesting and erudite responses so far ... giving lots of food for thought - will be interesting to see how the poll turns out.  :)
cheers to date team!

Definitely won't be starting Titch, Zorko is one that is definitely on my watch list though. Will have a look and see where he plays in NAB.

It will be interesting to see where Titch lines up at the start of the season. Will he takes JB's role from last year and play mainly forward with time in mids or will he be the JB of old and stay in the mids

I've gone Zorko as my 4th Fwd. Tackles, strong mark and kicks goals. Can push through the midfield and loves moving up the ground to get a possie.

Had an off year last year, but so did most of Brisbane. I think a new coach and a new year is a good recipe for Zorko. He's a talents with a lot of diversity in his game, underpriced IMO

Sounds a lot like Zorko...oh, hang on... =P

But Seriously, Mitchell scored under 80 once in his first 8 games, with 4 tons, 3 of them over 110. In this time he averaged a goal a game and close to 25 touches. This was with a limited pre-season and soon after his scoring fell away before injury ended his season.
This kid is Sydney royalty and they'll be desperate to get games into him this year, if hes fit rd 1 he is a massive lock.

Think Zorko will get back on track this year ,having a good preseason so far looking forward to watcing him kill it in nab

Zorko 2012 - debut season - first 8 games
2 scores under 80 (one of which was a green-vested debut) - 4 tons, 3 over 120, 2 140s
157 possessions (so like 20 possessions per completed game)
scored 7.6 (basically a goal per game)

ermmm.... yah
similarities are uncanny

The problem with assuming Zorko will be used keeping the ball in is that it doesnt allow him into the midfield to get possessions and points

Exactly, he is too good at his role that unfortunately isn't great for fantasy.
