do i'm looking at a massive pod in cameron o'shea. i like the way he moves and to me he is sort of showing similarities to the the sort of build up hibberd did last year... well sort of in the fact that they both play similar roles. Ive only seen short pieces of him but he seems like a smooth mover very similar to an andrew mackie in playing style. just wondering if someone could give me a bit of info to what sort of role he is likely to play and if it will be dt friendly.

Not sure that the Mackie comparison works but you have a legitimate reason to be keen on O'Shea. Had 8 20+ disposal games last year which is great for a 21 year old defender who is nudging 200cm. One of the best runners at the club too.

My main concern at this point would be his performances vs the better sides, however he stood up in the finals with two nice scores so that's a positive. Port do have a slightly more challenging draw this year though.

He'll most likely stay below what you'd want for a keeper but I could see him pushing his average up to the high 70's.

Don't know much about O'Shea, but if you're looking for a defender around that price I would be more inclined to look at Harwood from the Lions. Think he's in for a big season :)

there are a few in the backline at port who did well i think its logan that is another one... i would wait until you see some consistency before you make the bold move though if you have the balls see if you can pull it off!

A lot of competition for spots in our defence this year, O'Shea will continue to play a possible swingman role across the half back/half forward line. Will spend the majority of the year in defence however and is surely in our best 22. Cannot see why he can't "breakout"

Sounds promising noz. Just seems like a good size and he moves well. Probably just needs to improve his kicking efficiency. He did proud every good stats at tac cup level I remember
