First go for 2014!

Here's my first go for the new year. Guaranteed to change at least 100 times between now and the start of the season, but what do people think of it so far?

Defense: is pretty standard with 3 guns then Suckling, Kolodjashnij and Mcdonald other premos to look at are Simpson and McVeigh

Midfield: Good to see you have both of Ablett and Pendles and Rockliff will be good pick everyone has Beams and Martin and I cant really comment on rookies but I think Beams and Aish may be fighting for 1 spot so pick one or the other. Also I would like to see someone like Daisy Thomas in your team just because he can score 100+

Rucks: Goldstein doesn't seem to be in many teams and you could use that too your favour and Grundy seems to be a popular option even though I have neither of them in my team they will still be good.

Forwards: Really like the first 3 forwards but maybe Martin over Wingard but that's about it as for the other 3 I don't know about Mitchell as it will be hes second year and could have a shocker. Hogan is said to be a gun but I don't know much about him and you should get Rohan out of youre team asap he is a dud when it comes to supercoach

DEF - Standard, though i dont like playing 2 rookies in the backline every week.
MID - GAJ/Pendles. VERY nice. Rocky to improve, Beams is standard. Dont like CBeams choice TBH. better choices elsewhere.
RUC - Goldy is a top pick, POD so far. Grundy is a nice choice, what about Sandi??
FWD - dont like the Mitchell choice, you can find similar output for cheaper elsewhere. No Rohan, what about Kersten??

First of all i recommend you start one rookie on the field that means stengthening your defence
Def: I think you need someone like Swallow in the defence apart from that the defence is fine although one of those rookies has to go.
Mids: Risky taking 4 Rookie Mids but probably would leave out Beams.
Rucks:  Goldstein is a good POD GRUNDY will improve this year
Fwds: This is where i would downgrade players to improve your defence get Rid of Mitchell and Rohan maybe Clark  & Lennon.

Team can be improved with a few changes as it has 1 too many rookies in def and Mids. give it a 7/10

Don't like the idea of playing 2 rookies in your defence to start off with, think you need to make an upgrade there
Mids could be a tad weak with only 4 premiums, but rookie choices are quite solid so it could work
Don't like Grundy in the rucks, but he does seem to be a popular choice as Anthony said
Perhaps too much money spent in the forwards? If named round 1 I would bring in Bock for one of these guys to make a bit more money, and depending on who you would swap for him, perhaps be able to use the cash to upgrade your defence

Yeah pretty much everything Lions said.
You definitely need to either lose the rookie down back or add an extra mid fielder over a rookie here. I'd look to downgrade Mitchell, as i'm not sure on his position regarding the best 21 and I'm not sure on his scoring ability for this year. It could pay off however.
