An update on injuries not a lot fantasy wise except maybe Gardner and taylor

Merrett in full training and on target for first NAB Challenge match
Brown has received all clear from specialist and will build to full training
Paine - Recovering from shoulder reconstruction and will build up contact over the next few weeks
Gardner - Foot injury still running on the AG machine so may be a while off
Taylor - Foot injury - back running and building slowly expected back with main group in 2 weeks.
McGuane - Fott Injury - on modified training atm and about three weeks away from full training with main group.

Really intrigued about Lewis Taylor. I hope he can really make a point when he returns to the main group, and make a case for a Round 1 debut. Hopefully he's over the foot injury too.

What are your thoughts mate? Looking better?

Ringo

Only started running this week Wato so will be a little behind imo and depends on how quickly he can catch up. May be a downgrade mid season as imo can not see him getting early games unless injury strikes.

Bloody hell, doesn't look good. I was hoping on him playing to be a bench cover and swing man for other MID/FWD dual position players. Aargh

Best news I've heard all preseason. In my team now, just hopefully he can get a game come Round 1.

Ringo

Beams has been doing all the Physical Training (not even in rehab group) but continues running laps during the contact drills.  So physical condition should be strong just need to get match fit now.

Toga

Does Beams being declared fit put pressure on Jimmy Aish in getting a spot in the team?

Ringo

As I have said a couple of times Togs Beams and Aish imo will be fighting for the one position in Brisbanes 22

Toga

Will be interesting to see who gets the spot then :-X

Do you have any idea if Beams will be right by Round 1 or will he need some conditioning in the NEAFL to start with do you think?

Ringo

I think he will go straight in if he is the best of the 2.  Maybe a vest candidate initially but from my observations on the training sessions I have attended he is in great physical shape and obvious will the amount of work he has been doing has strong upper muscle tone.
