Cats skipper Joel Selwood has foot surgery. Club expects him to be back running in 2-3 weeks. Should be right for Rd 1.

Don't have any other info at this stage

Hmmm may now look to upgrading to him now
Not good to miss at this time of the year heading into preseason matches

'Joel has an irritation in his foot that was not settling as quickly as we expected,' said Geelong's Head of Sports Science Peter Stanton.

'We envisage that as a result of the surgery being fairly minor he will be back running in two to three weeks.'

It's probably nothing but it gives me a reason to make the two of Ablett Selwood or Pendles:  Gaz and Pendles. :P

According to Chris McDermott on the 5aa sports show, this type of injury/surgery can quite often take longer than 2-3 weeks. What do we really expect the club to say. Along with Tex's "minor " setback, it's going to be interesting to see when their back to full on running

Master Q

He's a warrior. He'll be right  ;)

Don't have him in any fantasy teams though at this stage, so doesn't effect me that much fantasy wise. Still, relatively big news.
