[DEF] J.Bartel, J.McVeigh, S.Hurn, M.Suckling, D.Grimes, L.McDonald (T.Cutler, M.Fuller)
[MID] J.Watson, N.Fyfe, T.Cotchin, M.Murphy, D.Beams, C.Beams, X.Ellis, L.Dunstan (D.Garlett, M.Honeychurch)
[RUC] M.Kreuzer, A.Sandilands (B.Brown, T.Nankervis)
[FWD] P.Dangerfield, D.Martin, L.Franklin, M.Pavlich, M.Clark, T.Menzel (D.Markworth, L.Taylor)

No GAJ and no Pendles. Fantasy suicide? Probably - But why not? The R8 bye is a dog! It's a bit different. A few risks but it could pay off. Rookies are subject to change obviously. Grimes, Clark, Menzel should have good JS. A lot better than some rookies out there. C.Beams and X.Ellis still unknowns. $100,600 left.

Rip it apart! :D

Troy Menzel is a good pod and solid pick... I've tipped him to do what Wingard did, him or j.srtinger anyway!
Wondering what you see in S.Hurn and D.Grimes? I'd like too see Garlett or Honeychurch up fwds even Kersten for Pav or Clark who are both injury prone? Freeing up some cash for somewhere else!
Also no J.Martin

A bit different, some picks I like some I dont.

Def - Grimes couod be a good unique, not a fan of hurn as a pick, not great value and unlikely to make the top 8 backs. 6/10
Mid - One too many risks here, no gaj/penldes is somewhat suicide, but then no selwood, swan, griffin either, only 1 top 10 mid fromlast year. 5/15
Ruck - Like the kruezer pick, I wont be getting him but a chance to to go 105ish this year I think. 7/10
Fwd - standard danger/martin combo, think the next three being key fwds is one too many, like the menzel gamble though, super talented kid. 9/10

Cash generation 6/10 maybe a little more cash in the mid rookies, spend money to make money.
Unique - 8/10 Bartel, hurn, grimes, fyfe, kruezer, menzel all somewhat unique, hurn seems to obvious one without upside to me.

Overall 44/65 (my rating system).

Advice - Would look at saving some cash in the fwds, either pav to someone like a fasolo, karnezis, hogan, higgins,or clark to honeychurch, kennedy harris or garlett, who are all rnd1 chances and dont need two mid links. Should have 200-300k then. Would definately look then at upgrading either or both hurn, and one of your mids to a real super premium to give you a second super premium with watson.

$100,600 left.

DEF - you've gone the 4 "Premo" route. Very Nice, not sold on Hurn/Grimes though. If Grimes can get back to mid 70's he'll make you $150K.

MID - No GAJ/Pendles, Different. Jobe should get back to his best (which is a must for you, only real Captain choice)
Fyfe, Cotchin, Beams & Murphy to go 110+
Not a fan of the CBeams & Ellis pick, but thats just me, NAB will show what they can do hopefully.

RUC - Kreuzer, Nice POD, havent seen many teams with him. Underpriced. Sandi, Bargain.

FWD - Pav should improve with a preseason under him. 95+
Buddy back to his best without contract distractions and the Swans midfield feeding him.

OVERALL - Good team, some nice POD's. 7.5/10

Def: Pretty Good except for Grimes can't   see him scoring highly like the pick of Hurn though You have made the right choice in starting only one rookie on the field
Mids: Very weak here as you don't have any of  the 3 main premiums in Ablett,Pendles & Selwood.Fyfe is not a M2 should be at M4.Rookies will sort themselves
Rucks: Kreuzer may be a good pick this yearmainly if used in the ruck more because that is when he scored the highest toward the end of last year.Need to hope sandi can play enough games to make you enough money.
Fwds: Strong fwd line with the Menzel being being the odd one out maybe he will take over Betts position this year.

This team has its problems in the midfield and which may cost it quite a few points. It is one premium player short there.
Give it a 7/10

Thanks for the feedback guys! Some great input. I've worked on it a little bit and I've come up with -

Changes in bold

[DEF] J.Bartel, J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, M.Suckling, K.K, L.McDonald (T.Cutler, M.Fuller)
[MID] S.Pendlebury, J.Watson, N.Fyfe, T.Cotchin, M.Murphy, J.Martin, D.Tyson, L.Dunstan (D.Garlett,M.Honeychurch)
[RUC] S.Jacobs, A.Sandilands (B.Brown, T.Nankervis)
[FWD] P.Dangerfield, D.Martin, L.Franklin, M.Clark, T.Menzel, N.Bock (D.Markworth, L.Taylor)

Def - Hurn out for Mitchell and D.Grimes out for K.K. Looks more solid.
Mids - Looks a bit better. I'm not sold on having both D.Beams and Pendles in there though. D.Beams out for Pendles, C.Beams out for Tyson and X.Ellis out for Martin. Tyson is iffy - could downgrade.
Ruck - This is my main concern. I had Jacobs from day 1 last year and he was terribly disappointing. He's better than that. Kreuzer out for Sauce. Not ideal. Might be able to save cash some where else to get Kruze back in?
Fwd - Pavlich out for Bock (From what I can tell he has the most upside for the sub 250 price?) Also not ideal, but can work.

$61,000 left.

Again, thanks for the input!

im liking this team
Defense: Very Solid but Id look at doing a small downgrade of Bartel to either of Hanley or Simpson to free up some money for other positions as Simpson or Hanley will score around the same as him anyways. that will leave you another $75k

Midfield: Again strong and im with you on Beams I don't like having both of Pendles and Beams in the same team but I think we are in the minority on that one. If you wanted to downgrade in the midfield you could go Murphy down to Thomas because Thomas is a must in my opinion and Murphy struggles with a tag. this will leave you with another $150k which could be used very wisely in your rucks or forwards.

Rucks: Almost everyone has Sandi and rightly so he has been a gun for many years in super coach and should be given a chance at that price but watch his pre season and performance in the nab cup. I like the pick of Jacobs if he can go back to 2 years ago he will be in the top few rucks of the season but if you aren't confident in him you now have $200K too upgrade if you do my previous to decisions but that is up too you.

Forwards: First 3 are the same as me and I think all 3 will be in the top 5 forwards at the end up the season. With your bottom three forwards you can either upgrade one to a gun with the money that your downgrades have given you unless you choose to use that in the rucks. If you don't use the money to upgrade I would look at any of Fasolo, Lennon and Hogan rather than Bock. I am a carlton fan so I might be a bit bias on Menzel saying that he will have a good season all he needs is to get a run.

I hope that helps.

I've heard a few people mention this seeming to think that Beams will take points off Pendles, so I ran some maths to check.
Prior to Beams returning in round 16, Pendles was averaging 129ppg, Swan 117ppg and Sidey 101ppg. From Round 16 to the end of the season, Pendles averaged 127ppg, Swan 117ppg and Sidey 103ppg. So Pendles dropped 2ppg, Sidey gained 2ppg, and Beams slotted in to average 102ppg. He's not stealing anyone's points from the fantasy relevant players at least.

Cheers Anthony. You make a fair point about Bartel. I love the guy. Had him for the past 3 years. I really like hibberd as a downgrade option. Very consistent.

And in regards to Beams, it's not that I think he will steal points off Pendles, I just don't want 2 pies in my mids is all. Round 8 bye and all.

Beams is a better choice than Cotchin mate, in all honesty. Both have the same Round 8 bye, and only two years ago when Beams played a full season he averaged 123, something Cotchin has never done - highest average of 116. He's priced at $70k cheaper which can come in handy in so many other places.

And to be honest mate, by the end of the year I can assure you, you will have two if not three of Pendlebury, Swan and Beams. They're all fantasy guns and are top fantasy scorers. Doesn't matter when you get them but I suggest getting Beams in before he rises in cash. It does mean having two Collingwood mids but I see that as no problem.
