HIGHLY rated Collingwood recruit Matt Sharenberg says he is unsure when he'll start full training as he recovers from stress reactions in his feet.

The injury came to light on the eve of last year's NAB AFL Draft but the Magpies took Scharenberg with their first pick, No. 6 overall, fully aware they would have to ease him into his first AFL pre-season.

"I've been on a modified program, just doing rehab mainly and trying to get the feet right," Scharenberg told AFL.com.au.

"It's still been pretty solid and lots of hard work, but it's been good.

"(My feet) are getting better. We're taking it one day at a time and each week at a time.

Just read this thought he may be a handy down grade target but at $192k is an awkward price fir downgrade,  Was not expecting him to start Round 1.

I think he will still be a handy downgrade, just depends how much cash KK and McDonald and the likes generate. If they can get to 400k or so, it'd be worth it.

400k is a 75ave. I'd definitely take that from a rookie defender!

Yeah same mate! I think KK and McDonald with the opportunity can get that average too, not beyond them whatsoever.
