Henderson / D Talia / L Brown
B Reilly / A Otten / B Smith

Douglas / B Crouch / M Grigg
Jacobs / Dangerfield / Sloane

Van-Berlo / Walker / S Thompson
E Betts / Pod/JJ / L Johnston

Bench
Rutten/K Hartigan, Mackay, Wright, Lynch/Porplezia
Unlucky
Sammy Kerridge, Petrenko, Sam Shaw, J Lyons, R Atkins

Why doesn't my boy Rory Laird start?
Brent Reilly is still one of the best at the club, unless he develops quicker than Brown or Brodie, he may have to wait.
I really wouldn't be moving Reilly, Hendo, Otten or Smith from that backline, they will be great this year

Truck not starting?
Getting older and slower each year, could become a liability if a Shaw/Thompson/Hartigan can't step into the role pretty quick.
I'm hoping Otten doesn't need to play KP and Hartigan or Shaw step it right up, confident the Kart" Hartigan will play

Who takes Full Forward and why does LJ start?
It is crucial that JJ can support the Sauce in ruck, otherwise McKernen must play. The Pods will play at least till the Great one returns.
We need Tommy Lynch to step up and deliver, I'm thinking he should play flank and be the guy up field taking marks, leaving Tex to play on the 50 or nearer goal.
I doubt the Pod will play more than 15 games, if he's playing better than Lynch then fine he starts, JJ must be one who plays.
Lewis Johnston just has to play now, so much ability and could even be a better set shot than the Great Man himself, the good thing about Lewis is he is agile, can do good ground work as well, can also shift down back if need be.

Why are Thommo and VB on the flank.?
I really like what Thommo does at HF, was a bit of a liability in the mid last year and he is a very good forward, VB also does good work forward of centre but, expect him to do the run-with roles again, or be the pressure guy inside 50.
With Crouchy and Griggy emerging as guns it is not crucial for Thommo to be in the middle, especially with the rise and consistency of the Malcolm Blight Medal runner-up.
Expect Lyons and Kerridge also to contribute at times in the middle throught the year.

Porplezia or Petrenko good enough this year?
Time will tell with Petrenko but he really must lift now, Betts is still young and not much older than Petrenko either.
Again, we know Eddie Betts is a star, with LJ and Wright also doing work inside 50, the return of Tex and the help of J Pod, Porplezia could come in with little notice and be highly effective now, possibly even the super-sub. Expecting the Porpoise to have an impact

Also hoping little pocket rocket, my new hero Charlie Cameron will come in at some point and really show good things
