Have created a new team using SuperCoach Gold:

DEFS - McVeigh, Mitchell, K. Simpson, Suckling, K. Kolodjashinj, L. McDonald (D. Gardiner, M. Fuller)

MIDS - S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, J. Steven, T. Liberatore, D. Beams, J. Martin, D. Tyson, C. Beams (B. Acres, J. O'Rourke)

RUCS - B. McEvoy, S. Jacobs (D. Currie, T. Derickx)

FWDS - P. Dangerfield, L. Franklin, S. Higgins, M. Clark, J. Hogan, A. Fasolo (N. Bock, S. Kersten)

Like the title says Fwds are particularly weak and not sure if it is a strategy that I want to approach the new year with but could work? Thoughts?

I wonder if you could spare some cash by option to jettison one of Libba or Steven and grabbing a mid rookie since they are often better cash cows than def or fwd rookies.

Jacobs probably is on my never again list after last year and maybe look at better value but slightly higher risk with Sandi.

You have Higgins so obviously you love to Bungy jump, share needles and have unprotected anal sex in public toilets which means Sandi shouldn't frighten you too much.

I don't believe Higgins will be ready for rd 1 - I also think Kersten is still in rehab from a knee injury

IMO you are better off with Sandi than Jacobs - I would rather risk injury with guaranteed points (Sandi) than risk points with Jacobs - taking McEvoy and Jacobs is a points risk as neither are proven consistent premium scorers

Possibly look to swap Mitchell for Bartel to even your byes in defence

Yeah  I think Jacobs to Sandi, HMac or Grundy would be a good idea.
Then upgrade Higgins or Hogan to a better forward.
Other than that, looks good.

Defence looks solid
Midfield looks good as well
Jacobs AND Big Boy is a bit too risky IMO, would try getting cash to upgrade one to Goldy or Minson, or maybe downgrading Jacobs to Sandi
Forwards are a bit too weak, need one more premo in there

How much cash do you have left? I feel like you should have a fair bit left over, but I could be wrong. Maybe you just have too many expensive rookies...

I think it would pay of it you went Libba>murphy and then upgraded Steven to say Watson or Gaj and with the rucks you should go for say Minson are supercoach gun and then Sandi to spare some cash then you could upgrade a forward :)

Rucks are interesting, may pay off but too risky I think. Downgrade one and use the cash up forward.
