Chris Yarran - Carlton Blues
Position: Forward
Fan Planner Price:$354,200
Bye: Round 8

2013 Average: 66.2
2013 Unsubbed Average: 78.9 (14 unsubbed games) (Yarran's round 7 score of 2 counts as a subbed game as he would've been subbed out of the game if the sub hadn't already been used. He had to sit on the bench for the rest of the game, after he was injured).
Tons: 3
2013 Games: 19

2012 Average: 67.6
2012 Unsubbed Average: 79.1 (14 unsubbed games)
Tons: 3
2012 Games: 18

When Yarran is actually on the park he scores well.

Verdict: After two disappointing seasons in a row, Yarran will be looking for a big year in 2014. With Betts gone, Yarran will get the chance to play more up forward, but can still go down back if needed, as Mick Malthouse stated earlier this week "He has the ability to break games apart and that's what I love about him. So we will play him very much at both ends of the ground." As Mick said, Yarran is a game breaker and SuperCoach rewards game breakers.

Over the past few years, injuries and the sub vest have affected Yarran's scores. Since 2011 he has missed 8 games and been injured or had the sub vest another 11 times. If Yarran can stay fit and keep away from the substitute vest, he will be a good scorer, but that's no guarantee.

Mick will expecting a greater output from 'Yaz' in 2014, so for me he is one to watch as when he plays a full game he usually scores well. He isn't too expensive, but awkwardly priced, nonetheless I'll be watching him over the preseason to see how he goes.

2014 Predicited Average: 78-83

Vinny

So much potential but he doesn't apply himself, so inconsistent. It's frustrating to watch aswell, his best is flowering crazy but his worst is shocking. I would also like to seem him bulk up a little, he and Garlett will have to step up with Betts gone anyway.

He's still young though. Only 22. I'm hoping he returns to his 2011 form, he was awesome of half back that year.

Vinny

Yeah the thing is, he won't go back to that half back position with Simpson & Walker around. He can still do well as a forward.

We will see, he would be determined to improve on the last couple years and prove himself to Everyone and especially Mick.

Nice write up by the way ;)

Yeah you're right, but there has been a little bit of talk that Waller could play on a wing or up forward as well.
But they're both better than Yarran, obviously.
With Betts gone they'll need him up forward, hopefully he can kick some goals (just not against Richmond  :P)
Cheers Vin 8)

Vinny

Yeah the rumours of Walker going forward are quite strong and I can see it happening. I just wanna see something good out of Yarran.

Holz

I have never ever written of a player as a never to pick again.

im looking at missy higgins this year again.

picked him up round 5, he went 54 2 and than i traded him out.

cost me 150 points, 60k and a trade.

which cost me $50,000 cash

Yarran, you made the list.

Haha you have an extremely good reason to put him on the list.

Wow, unlucky Holz. Yeah, I'd never pick him again as well.
