First team of the year so it's very risky and not much research has been done, including the buys
$885,100 left

Walker, Hanley, Waters, Suckling, Bock, Oxley (Cameron + Curren)

Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Murphy, George H-S, C young, C Beams, J Martin (Garlett and Morabito)

Sandilands, Grundy (Currie and Lobb)

D Martin, Naitanui, Franklin, D Thomas, Fasolo, D Menzel (Hogan and Michie)

Byes 15/8/7
Need to work on the Byes, Make my team a little less risky.

What do u think?

DEF: I would take out Oxley and put in Scharenberg because he's got a better chance of playing. Would get rid of Curran for a rookie who has a bye round 10 so someone like Gardiner/Jones. Your premiums and mid prices look all good, obviously a bit risky having Waters and Suckling because they are injury prone but i guess see how they go in the pre season, also don't know about Bock whether he will be getting games consistently so maybe look at upgrading him to a premium.

MID: Beams. He is a must, has the potential to average 110+ and at his price is a must even though a round 8 bye. George H-S and Clinton Young both have round 8 byes so maybe get rid of one of them at least for Beams. You've got 3 of your top premiums Selwood, Ablett and Pendles both having there byes in round 8 so look at getting rid of one of them maybe for Rockliff/Watson/Jack.

RUC: Your rucks are a bit risky because we don't how Sandilands is going to go but thats what the pre season is for.

FWD: Your forwards are all good your concentrating on the byes a bit more because you have got 3/2/3. Don't know about Menzel though, haven't been following up on his injury status and how he is going.

Obviously with players like Morabito/Menzel/Lobb/Currie. Pre season, we'll be able to see how they go, so just look at maybe the likes of Tyson/Aish/Karnezis/McCarthy etc.

Yes you have to work on your byes you may just have to swap a few players around and spend all that cash on your mids and rucks are quite risky , the forward line looks good maybe Kersten in Menzel out don't think they will be rushing him back .

GoLions

lol who cares about the byes :P

defence looks alright, although I think McVeigh would look better over Walker or Hanley
need another premo mid IMO, especially with Murphy as one of them
don't like grundy as a 2nd ruck, but many people are going with it so it's not too big of a risk i guess
forwards look good, although would take rockliff over martin

Updated team
Def: Walker, Mitchell, Hanley, waters, Suckling, McDonald (Langdon and Gardiner)

Mid: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Griffen, Murphy, Aish, Tyson, Martin (Garlett and L.Taylor)

Ruc: Naitanui and Sandilands ( Currie and McBean)

Fwd: Dangerfield, Franklin, Thomas, Fasolo, Michie ( Kersten and Menzel)

Just under $400,000 left

I understand that my team probably will be too expensive. If so I would get rid of Walker or would downgrade Selwood. My Forward line is very weak because I think their r going to be better fwd rookie options. I could always move walker into the forward line. According to AFL.com they expect all my mid rookies to be playing round 1. Byes r still a problem, many of my rookies have their by in round 8. I'm confident both Murphy and Sandilands will have a good year.  Also considering players like: D.Martin, Mcveigh, Morabito, G-HS, Beamsx2 and a few others.
Do u guys know of any good Rookie defenders?

Just learned Walkers only DEF and Thomas only Midfielder
Also forgot to put hogan in updated team
I'll also now be looking at Broomhead in my FWD line

Its good to see Dangerfield & Sam Mitchell gaining DPP but Thomas being only named as a forward is going to hurt some teams.
You may need to slot Martin n there instead of Thomas.
Def: Very Solid has good depth heard that Mcdonald won't come cheap.
Mids: Mids: Seems to be ok not really sold on Murphy.Prefer Rockliff in the Mids
Rucks: As long as those 2 don't get injured again you should do well here
Fwd: Hogan will save you more money but i think you need to strengthen your forward line with the money you will have left once hogan goes in.

Overall team needs strengthening due to the weak fwds but otherwise it looks ok 7/10
