Richard Tambling has revealed the struggles he faced with living in Buddy Franklin's shadow.

'"There are instant expectations on you to perform, you struggle a bit early and then you find yourself being judged against Buddy.

"And it was unfair to have to listen to that because Buddy is a freak, he's one of the greatest AFL players of all-time.

"For a young boy like me to have to live up to that wasn't easy and it did have an effect on me."
