Club has just released this regarding Darren Jolly rumour.

Premiership ruck man Darren Jolly has met with Essendon on the eve of Wednesday's Rookie Draft.

List manager Adrian Dodoro confirmed the club had held discussions with Jolly on Tuesday.

"As we look to complete our list for the 2014 season we will enter The rookie draft with two live selections and are in search of the best available player," Dodoro said.

"We met with him to make sure we do our due diligence and ensure we have covered all bases heading into the draft."

"We have not made any commitment to him and will weigh up all our options ahead of the tomorrow's draft."

The 32-year old has played 237 games at Melbourne, Sydney and Collingwood and was part of the Swans 2005 and Magpies 2010 flags.

The club will enter the rookie draft with selections 9 and 26, the final two positions to finalise the club's list.
