Hawthorn has just released a statement around the health of youngster Jed Anderson who is currently suffering from pneumonia.

Club Statement:

Hawthorn Football Club can advise that Jed Anderson is currently being treated for pneumonia in a Darwin hospital.

But his condition has gotten better significantly over the past few days and it is expected to only improve.

He is expected to be back at the club by January.

Hawthorn Football Club can advise that Jed Anderson is currently being treated for pneumonia in a Darwin hospital.

While initially quite severe, Jeds condition has improved significantly over the past few days. It is expected that he will continue to improve and be released from hospital over the next week or two.

Club doctors, whose primary concern is Jeds recovery, have been in constant contact with doctors at the hospital. 

Hawthorn is unable to put a timeline on Jeds full recovery, though it is expected he will return to the Club in January.
