"I didn't win nothing" translates to I did not win nothing. Therefore you are saying you did NOT win zero=0=nothing.

Therefore by I didn't win nothing, you are stating something has been won. Whereas I didn't win anything = nothing has been won

or I won nothing = nothing won. But as soon as you double negative you're saying whatever the two negatives are, the opposite happened.

Another example

It wasn't uninteresting. Drawn out = It was not uninteresting. It was NOT uninteresting, there it WAS interesting.

Double negatives just make it the opposite of the latter kinda word used. If it was not uninteresting, then it has to be the opposite of that, therefore interesting.

Haha yeah but you should be saying "I did win something."

The latter is considered incorrect I think and it sounds colloquial too but I am not sure if its an actual mistake.

Anyway, you know you should use the first one but the second sounds stupid.

I like how the guy giving English advice is the same fella who continuously said "his" instead of "he's".  ;D
