Best First Year Player
Sam MAYES - 18 matches, 1265 points at 70.28. Increased $210,200
Pick number 8 in the draft, and he certainly showed why he was taken so highly. Mayes didn't debut until round 3, making him a good early downgrade option.  While his early season form wasn't so great, those who stuck with him until round 12 definitely got their money's worth from him. 3 games over 100, with a high of 130 from rounds 12-16 showed his potential and enough to know that he will be a good player for a very long time.

Most Improved Player
Brent STAKER - 15 matches, 1148 points at 76.53. Increased $210,900
Cruelled with injury over the last few years after a couple of knee reconstructions, Staker got back to some of his best this year. Playing at both ends of the ground, he had a good patch in the middle of the season returning 3 hundreds in a row from rounds 15-17, and also got his price up to a handy $428,400 mid-way through the year.

Best Buy
Tom ROCKLIFF - 21 matches, 2303 points at 109.67. Increased $82,800
Rocky got Fwd/Mid DPP this year, and hopefully that was enough for you to get on him from the start. He ended up as the number 2 forward for the year, behind only Stevie J on averages. He was also a great player for finals, averaging 128 points in the last 9 games of the year. If he keeps his DPP, which he should, make sure you look at him again next year.

Worst Buy
Dayne ZORKO - 22 matches, 1824 points at 82.91. Decreased $141,800
After such a huge first year of football, and being a mature aged player, a lot was expected of Zorko from his second season. But with the Lions having such a great young midfield developing, Zorko was often relegated to the forward pocket, with possessions hard to come by. He averaged a mere 82 points, down 18 on his stellar debut year. He is probably one to avoid for the start of next year, but a new coach at Brisbane could have a new role for Zorko to play which is more SuperCoach friendly.

2014 Prospects
Matthew Leuenberger
Made a return from a long Achilles injury this year and played 20 games. He has developed into one of the premier ruckman of the competition, and can consider himself unlucky on not making the 40 man All-Australian squad. With Cox aging and Nic Nat seemingly always injured, is the Berger the ruck solution next year?

Daniel Rich
Sidelined for much of the first half of the season with injury, Rich came back and showed plenty of potential in his football. The 2009 Rising Star still seems to be copping a big tag each week, and appears to be struggling to cope with it, averaging only 85.9. Still, next year will be Rich's 6th, and he is just starting to get to his prime age. When he does start to break the tag, he has the ability to become one of the most influential players in the game, and should always be on your SuperCoach radar.

Pearce Hanley
This was a breakout year for Pearce, and his flashy run off half back and clever forward half goals are creating highlight reels each week. He is a very effective kick and is able to penetrate lines quite easily. He loves to run and carry as well, so lock him in for a starting defender position next year.

If Rocky keeps dpp will easily be my first picked player,  ;D wouldn't think Zorko would change roles as he came 17th for total tackles which was 3rd highest for a forward

Yeah I don't think Zorko will get more midfield time either unfortunately. He plays the small forward role very well, but it's a shame because he is such a good ball winner.

Depending on price, Rich could be a very decent starter next year. Underpriced due to his injury and natural development could see a 100+ average

Ssssh!! Starting to show signs of shaking the tag as well,  So agree could be handy.  Even if Black retires we give teams a headache of who to tag Rocky, Hanley or Rich.
