I can't believe how keen I am this early  :o  Anyway....Broady!

Matthew Broadbent:
23 years old
Should be DEF/MID in 2014

2012 average: 80 from 22 games

2013 average: 72 from 22 games

2013 Scores:

55  87  89  80  74  45 67  64  25  55  BYE  71   115  118  59  61 87  75  50  38  104  66 87

100+ 3 games total, 3 games post bye
75 -100 6 games total, 3 post bye
60 - 75 6 games total, 3 post bye
<60 7 games total, 3 post bye

After Broady's 2012 breakout year, he did not thrive early on under Hinkely as he averaged 64 DT and 15 disposals prior to the bye. Hinkley, with another stroke of brilliance moved him onto the halfback flank where his skill and line breaking was used in Power's high risk/high reward quick movement though the middle. Post bye, Broady tonned up three times and averaged 78 DT and 21 disposals
Although he still had a few shockers I think that they will slowly go away as Port becomes more accustomed to Hinkleys game plan and they implement some more tempo periods to decrease some of the eratic movement in dieing minutes that has hurt us somewhat this year...

2014 prediction: should be D/M ~ 80 - 95
Verdict: Could definitely be a great smokie, I'm keen ATM but if McVeigh and co. get DPP and Suckling and co. get handy discounts it may be hard to find a spot for him. Watchlist!

pommyadam

will check NAB

but hard to see him squeeze in the team ahead of Suckers, Smitch and Mcveigh

henry

Hmm could consider, especially if mitchell, mcveigh don't get dpp.
Interesting one, would have to be given dpp though to have any chance of making my team.

Nige

He should almost certainly get DPP. Has been playing a majority of the year off half back. Could be sneaky POD for those willing to take the risk, but as the others have said, probably a few others ahead of him if they too get DPP.

Colliwobblers

if he gets DPP, good chance i'll end up bringing him in, but i won't start with him, money in defence already spent, think the options down back will be plentiful and some irresistible in 2014.
