Hey guys, just after some thoughts.

My backline: Goddard, Enright, Gibbs, Harry O, Murphy, Ellis, Cannon (E), 89k

I'm pretty content with it at the moment, but giving some thought to playing cannon against GWS. In a cash league GF against a fellow tough opponent. He doesn't have Cannon however.

Thoughts? (Will cheer)

I'm backing him in for a big game. Personally, I'd play him over Gibbs. Malthouse will probably use Gibbs in some defensive role again.

PK

Murphy also took a pretty big knock last week could still be a little sore.

MinistryOfFootball

Play the Cannon over Murphy or Gibbs

This is my current train of thought. My opponent has Gibbs, so it would make it a POD.

As a Carlton fan but, its tough for me to bench Gibbs :)

I'm trying to figure out who Gibbs would go to from PA? Wingard? Probably a bit too small? If Hartlett had of been playing probably him. What do you think?

If there's no one suitable for Gibbs to go to, maybe he'll get off the leash and play on ball?

Can't think of anyone either really, with Hartlett out. My thoughts are that Armfield will man up on Wingard, so I guess its best to back Gibbs in.

Murphy is the only other choice, to me, that I would consider. Saying that, I reckon he'll score around the 90 odd mark this week. The dogs will run rampant.

Hmm, I was all set to play the Cannon over Gibbs, but now I'm having second thoughts. I'm hearing rumours that the PA boys are pretty sore after last week, Carlton could come away with a win, and maybe even a thumping...Kruezer's back as well so it should mean better service for the midfielders.

I'm now thinking I should play McKenzie and Gibbs and bench Heath Shaw. Had a good game last week but is soooo inconsistent. Could bust out a 120 or a 36...

Going off of Cannon's form but, even against GWS, who knows what he'll produce. In saying that. Shaw could be a headache as well. That's an even tougher call to make tbh.

Haven't checked Shaw's numbers against the Roos, but if I had him I'd almost certainly field Cannon over him out of hatred lol.

Hmm, Shaw didn't play in Rd 1, but going back a bit:

2012: 88
2011: 114, 65

Maybe I will back him in and put Gibbs on the pine....tough one  :-\

Cannon has done okay last 3 Vs GWS. I think you should back him in for a solid score of around 85+.
