Finished top of my league only losing two games all season (one was in the opening round of the season).  I came up against the other guy who beat me in the first final and he got me again, so now I have the task of facing off against a really tough opponent this week, one I would have liked to have avoided.  Our teams are really similar (as most are at this stage) with very minimal differences.

This is my team:

Goddard, Heppell, Hanley, Enright, Gibbs, Grimes; McKenzie, Thurlow

Swan Ablett, Pendlebury, Beams, Griffin, Cotchin, Barlow, Stanton; O'Keefe, B. McKenzie

Cox, Goldstein; Gawn, Grundy

Johnson, Rockliff, Martin, Riewoldt, Kennedy, Bartel; Staker, Johnston

His team:

Goddard, Heppell, Hartlett, Gibbs, Ibbotson, Grimes; Clisby, Thurlow

Swan Ablett, Pendlebury, Beams, Griffin, Jack, Barlow, Kornes; T. Mitchell, Hrovat

Cox, Goldstein; Grimely, Grundy

Johnson, Rockliff, Martin, Riewoldt, Cloke, Bartel; Staker, Daniher

As you can, see very similar.  I beat him in the very last game of the season, but only by about 9 points, so our teams are so close.  That day Cloke didn't have his best day, but this week I fear he may go big as his recent record against the Hawks is awesome.  So my first trade will be Kennedy > Cloke which will mean our forward lines will be exactly the same.

It's my second trade where I'm not really sure what to do.  My first thought is to trade out Goldy, and I'll have enough cash to go to any ruckman.  I was thinking either Minson or Roughead, especially now that Buddy is back as it will take a bit of the attention away from Roughy.

If you have any other thoughts on what I should do please let me know, as I'd hate to go out in straight sets after finishing on top and being the reigning premier in this particular league.

Cheers, guys!

Ok. With ibbo, clisby and thurlow all out he as to make a trade back there. Maybe enright or hanley.

I would definitely suggest Minson. He is in good form and goldstein is tapering off.

Another option is Grimes to someone like Houli. Good form, nice little run home and with Grimes playing Freo, he isn't likely to go very big. This should net you points. If Houli vs blues worries you, maybe Harry O brien? has been killing it since his break. Low of 91 in the past 3, and pies look like hitting good form

Dunno about cloke. Does tend to go big against the hawks but those scores were all against schoenmakers and he will cop Brian lake this week. Also has a 37 in amongst those big scores

Whilst that is true, Kennedy's 53.7 career average against Geelong does not fill me with confidence.  I know he hasn't played Geelong since 2011, but it still scares me.  If I don't go Cloke he'll get 130, and if I do and he spuds up I at least won't have lost anything.
