There is some information here as well towards the end as it is breaking news.

No infraction notices to players at this point in time but The AFL has charged Essendon FC, James Hird, Bruce Reid, Danny Corcoran and Mark Thompson in relation to 2011/12 supplements program. All are charged with engaging in conduct unbecoming or likely to prejudice interests or reputation of AFL or to bring game into disrepute.

I would imagine that the players would be very relieved that no blame is being placed on them, and they will

not receive infraction notices. Does that mean they will band together, like earlier in the season, and paly the same type of

footy The club has till, I think, 26th August to prepare to answer the charges . I reckon they will try to prolong this, arguing

they don't have enough time to prepare. Thus, finals will have started and it would be near impossible to have their

points taken away. Which means that some of the Essendon players Watson, Heppell, Stants, etc may start scoring like before

and also that there will be no lucky draw to the side that finishes 9th. How will that affect  West Coast, Carlton, North,

Adelaide team selections. [ when they know they can't make the finals ]

players have no case to answer... case closed... took them this long and all they could come up with is "bringing the game into disrepute" which another way of saying we will punish u for the sake of punish you.

The AFL is Laughable. ASASA didnt find squat but the AFL still charge the club and 4 memebers what a joke they are.

"ASASA" found out plenty.. The AFL obviously dont see it as anything the players could have had control over though so are therefore charging the officials that administered such a dodgy program to them.

Plenty? Plenty of nothing.
