Grimes
Ibbotson
Gibbs

I am content to start Goddard, Heppell, Malceski and McKenzie but don't know which player I should bench, I am sure many are in the same boat  ::)

Grimes is playing North who he has scored a respectable 81 and 128 (in 2010 though ::)) has been in reasonable form with a 3
round average 86.7

Ibbotson is playing Adelaide at Patersons where he has averaged 107 from 7 games this year has been down a bit lately averaging 75 over his last three and has looked reluctant to run off his man with McPharlin out of the side...his record at Patersons is a bit overwhelming though

Gibbs is playing Goldcoast who he has scored 64 and 144 against, has been poor of late averaging 67 over his last three...could bounce back in a big way though

I'd bench Ibbo, I reckon he's starting to revert back to his old numbers tbh.

Mabye Grimes though as he has the lowest ceiling bar McKenzie out of your defenders (ie he's least likely to punish you by not starting him), but I'd still bench Ibbo.

its me lads

I would bench Grimes personally. Gibbs should bounce back for sure, gotta back him in. IMO Grimes is more likely to give you a 70-90 sort of score but Ibbo could give you a 65-120 sort of score, bigger risk bigger reward I reckon. Grimes scored a nice 126 this year but that was in a win over GWS. North should win comfortably. Se it just depends on what you want, risk a bigger score or play it safe.

Gibbs stays for sure man. Its out of Ibbo and Grimes for me. And North have been pretty defensive lately. Carlton only had 2x100s last week and one was from a ruckman. They other decent score was a 93 from Murphy and the rest were under 83. The week before Rocky got the only 100 against North. The week before that it was only Cotchin and Foley who only got smack on 100 each.

Adelaide have been giving up some decent numbers.
A few weeks ago against GC, Prestia, Ablett and O'Meara all got 100s. Stanley got a 99 and Harbrow a 97.
Against Eagles there were 3x100s from midfielders along with Mackenzie with a 95, McGinnity with a 93 and Waters with a 90.
The week after against Pies Pendles, Ball, Swan and Sidey all got 100s and then Ried got 98, Shaw 92 and Cloke 90.
Then last week was a bit different with Jelwood and Simpson the only 100s

So yeh there are quite a few defenders who enjoyed out of the ordinary scores against the Crows. Thats why I would pick Ibbo

If Adelaide concede big scores, wouldn't he bench Grimes then? ???

haha yeh you know what i meant  :P

Have noticed a drop in Freo defender scores (namely Ibbo and Johnson) since McPharlin has been out. Not sure if I'd trust him to be honest.
