Potentially dumb question about strategy

Hi guys

In a relatively close game, one of my match ups I have Terlich on the field, with Clisby on the bench as emergency. Opponent has Clisby on the field. I'm thinking of swapping the two so that I cancel out Clisby, as much as I think Terlich will outscore Clisby, if he gets injured/subbed/just doesn't score well, it could kill me...

strategically I think it's a good move, it would leave me with Ibbotson, JPK and Jobe vs Tippet +180pts

Tough call, if it is a must win game - I'd put Clisby on field as well, otherwise Terlich is in some good form the past 3-4 games.

JPK & Jobe should get 180 between them with Ibbotson cancelling out Tippett's score

I guess it isn't really a must win game, I'll finish in the top 8 but winning should secure me a top 4 finish as opposed to a 5-8... I'm going for a minor though (office bragging rights) so I'm going to cancel I think. I should have Tippet +180 with those 3, one of Jobe or JPK is due a big game!

Yeah I guess you should probably cancel out Clisby.

About an 85% chance that Terlich will outscore Clisby, it's the other 15% that you'd be worried about.

You're in the box seat either way, may as well cancel out as many variables that could potentially cause an upset.

If it's close and you think your remaining players have your opponents remaining players overed, then definitely go safety first.  Cancel Clisby out.

Haha yeah I played Clisby :P Despite the turn of events I think it was the smart move. But yes if I had left Terlich on then I would have had no worries! Still, I just need Jobe and Ibbo to beat 160 now which shouldn't be too hard... touch wood!!!!
