So heading into round 14 I am looking to complete my team.

My trades this week will be
B Goodes < H Shaw
B Hill < J Selwood

My team will look like this...

Def - Goddard, Hibberd, Heppel, Birch, Shaw, Gibbs, (Thurlow, Webster)
Mids - Ablett, Pendles, Swan, Watson, Kennedy, Lids, Jelwood, Griffen, (T Mitchell, K Martin)
Ruck - McEvoy, NikNat (Rowe, Nicholls)
Fwd - Cox, Bartel, Kennedy, Buddy, Rockliff, SJ, (Staker, Daniher)

I have 7 trades left after the above trades and only 17k left in the bank. I should only need to trade due to long term injury/omittion or sideways during finals. I'm happy with my team but have a few questions/concerns.

Is 7 trades too few at this stage of the season?
Should I hold off on this weeks trades or complete my team?

Thanks in advance...  :P

With a finished team like urs with 7 trades left, you are looking good for the rest of the season

Looks good mate, great job.

Room for Walker for possibly  Buddy, JJK or Rockliff just in time for finals

Your in a pretty luxurious position to have 7 trades left and a completed side.

One suggestion would be to watch your back bench, not sure you have good cover there.  Maybe consider Oxley for Thurlow to dpp with Staker and leave you six trades and $130k in your bank for injury cover.  That would allow you to not have to trade out a 1-2 week injury to avoid a donut.

Maybe walker for nicnat and goldy in the ruck  . . ?

Cheers. Walker has been on my watchlist for weeks but had a completed fwd line a while back. If I have the luxury I will trade out non performing players for in form players.

kilbluff1985

try to get in another premo by finals using a couple more trades just as cover and loophole maybe

Yeh team looks very good with 7 trades left - top effort! Just make sure you hold some trades up your sleeve for finals

Nice tip. I am concerned about my def bench as Thurlow was dropped this week and Webster gets the vest most weeks. I'll be keeping an eye on it but hopefully I won't get any injuries. "Touching all the wood I can get my hands on"  ;D

Those trades look great and 7 trades will should be plenty  ;D

Just hold them until 'stuff' happens!

Just on Thurlow, I am considering just keeping him for emergency loophole even if hes not named. I now have Goodes at D7, so thinking about punting on which one of Hanley/Hartlett/Birchall is going to have a pathetic score, sitting them on the bench with the emergency... if they come up with a low score, keep Goodes on the field, if the one I choose on that week scores well, then Thurlow in to capture the score....Just a little insurance policy  ;)

Excatly. With players like hanley, birchall  etc getting flower scores its good insurance to have goodes d7 ready for loophole

of course we know that if we choose Hartlett, we'll enact the loophole, then Birchall and Hanley will stuff it all up..... but at least we will feel like we are in control of the situation.  ;D

Don't have the luxury of that as I traded Goodes out this week and Vlast out last week. Def has been pita this season!

Thanks for your help fella's. The hardest task I will face is not trading my remaining 7 away chasing points. Wish me luck!  ;)
