Jake Neade gets the round 13 rising star nomination for his excellent performance on saturday which included 5 tackles, 12 disposals and kicking 1 goal 1 behind.

Neade becomes our second nominee this season behind Oliver Wines.

I think he has surprised a few people who thought his lightly built frame couldn't handle senior footy yet. He was unlucky not to receive the nomination the week O'Meara was nominated, so good to see he eventually received a nomination.

I honestly thought he'd struggle at his size, and to be fair, I have seen him get outmuscled quite easily.

but he plays his role well.
