Leuy set to Re Sign

THE BRISBANE Lions are on the cusp of re-signing coveted ruckman Matthew Leuenberger, with the deal expected to be finalised in the next week.

Berger has now signed till end of 2015 season and in further good news Zorko has signed a three year contract to 2016.

Only need to tie up Rich and Hanley now and the jig saw is in place with the young crop all being re signed.

We wait on the coaches contract which is up at end of season.

I just heard him spoke on 360 and they played his press conference from earlier today. The Lions have got themselves a good one. Class on and off the field. It will be interesting to see how he and Longer are used together in the coming seasons.

Longer still has some developing to do Matt - He needs to get used to the resting forward role and improve his goal kicking as well as taking contested marks.  This will come.  Will be a handy dual ruck combo with Sam Michael behind them if anything goes astray.
