The scenario is i'm required to have 3 defenders and 4 midfielders which I have for this round however no emergencies and do not want to trade them out.

Im behind to win my league match this weekend.

To gain some extra points can I trade out one of my defenders so that I only have 2 and trade in another midfielder and have them as my only emergency?

Just not sure if you allowed to field only two defenders when you are required to have 3 in this comp if this has any impact on the emergency score?

I don't see why not, I've been playing Jack Steven as my second ruck all season ;)
