I had started with Franklin at the start of the season and he has done nothing, literally nothing. Everyone still believes he is a top 6 forward but atm I am having serious doubts. With all the trades we have this year should i be looking at bringing in Maccaffer for Franklin? Maccaffer has a very nice be of 22 and has been playing a loose tagging role which still allows him to get the ball, think of Kane Cornes back in his tagging days. Also I'm getting rid of a rd 11 bye player allowing me to field more players this round.

When round 13 comes round I can get rid of Maccaffer or Dwyer to avoid doughnuts?

Does this sound like a good plan?

No way. Franklin to Macaffer? Surely you've got a better option than that. A 22 B/E is good, but all it takes is one score of 50 and his break even the following week is 90.

Post your team and kitty value.

I think what he plans to do is a quick cash grab, ie. Trade Rnd 11 bye player to Rnd 12 bye player with lowest BE. Pocket $20-30k, trade back to Rnd 11 player. Seems a viable strategy, I'm doing it myself by bringing in Hutchings (although I'll probably keep him)

i'm against doing that, all it takes is one injury, and bam... you're screwed

I wouldn't advise it. Wait after the byes then re-assess Buddy.

Franklin to Macaffer is a stupid trade. I brought Buddy in last week so I pretty much am going to hold him and hope  :-\ I think the best thing you can do is hold him but if you really hate him that much you should upgrade him to another premium or you've just flushed $500k away on a predicted 90+ player (really 70+).

He's a piece of shower but I've still gained like $3k off him whilst you've lost +$120 it would make more sense for my to downgrade him. I don't think it's worth trading him to someone with a r13 or r12 bye either because in prospect you will be screwing yourself over and you don't know what could happen (3 weeks is a long time in terms of AFL dream team).
