If any Dees fans read this im not trying to sound cocky but that was probably the worst the hawks have played this year or close to it, i was at the game and we played well in patches it just never seemed we were on top, i looked at the scoreboard at times and felt wow have we really kicked that far ahead. I really think we need to play a more sustained 4 quarter performance coming off the bye or we could be caught out by Carlton.

It was very hard to watch at times. You could make an argument that Melbourne dragged us down to their level but really, some of the skill mistakes and decision making were horrible. Clarko will be all over that.

Yep, if the Hawks had played that way against Freo (who were my pre-season tip for the flag, and still are), the Dockers would have won.

Yeah not just freo, any other top team, sydney, geelong etc would have beaten us. Bye has come at a nice time, we haven't been in great form last couple of weeks yet got comfortable wins and the week off freshens up some of the old guys like mitchell who looked a bit tired.
