I dont really call those guys big time signings, given the stage of their career. Rondo will need alot bigger names to come to push them for a title. Like Love. Probably the biggest FA signing in Celtic History.

Q, you can't call Shaq and Eddie House big free agent signings ::) Shaq was old, and House was just a role player. Those kinda quality signings isn't going to be enough to keep Rondo around.

I'm just saying that Boston has never been a 'go to' place for free agents. So if you're expecting us to sign someone that'll get Rondo to stay, you're going to be disappointed.

im talking about the big free agents and guys moving like lebron melo love.

its not New York or LA,
they dont have a great list like Houston or Golden State
Stevens is an alright coach but he isnt elite

the only reason I can see why big free agents would go there is the celtic brand.

Celts are a great organisation but they will build back to the top, not do it through FA.

only question with Staukaus is what's going to happen to McElmore (sorry I don't know how to spell it correctly, but you know who I mean) ...

I think they are both very similar players except for 2 differences

McLemore is more athletic and will most likely be a better defender (showed improvement over last season)
Stauskas has better ball handling and is probably a better shooter

Coach Malone is saying that the Kings can play both.  I am certainly on the Rondo train and if takes giving up McLemore to get him then I say do it.

Don't see Danny Ainge as a reason for guys coming... He got gifted KG, apart from that he was been one of the worst GMs in the league...

It's hard to compete with the big markets like LA, Miami and New York. We overpay for role players in free agency, there's no 'steals' and there's no big names. Just makes our 17 banners all that more impressive that players aren't bashing down the door to come here. I'd say it relates to the city - mainly the cold weather..

its crazy, no real problems with The Patriots or The Sox, they get good FA but i suppose they're winter sports or it is related to the management of The Celtics :-\ 6 of these half dozen of the other
