I know the article is about Melbourne but should Fremantle be worried that they sit only above Melbourne and GWS for

midfielders gathering 25+ disposals or is that more indicative of our midfield spread......

I am not worried about this - I would like to see the spread of 15- 25 posessions in comparison.

I think whats more worrying is carlton actually 4th on this table but 13th in total disposlas that tells me a few are doing too much and the majority are getting carried.

Im actually happy to see North at 13th on the list, as they are 9th in total touches so are getting a good spread.

I am not sure we should be worried.I think that the most important thing is how they use the ball in their less than 25 possessions per game. If they are running at over 75% efficiency rate then they are doing well.It is what you do with it when you have it rather than gathering a huge number and butchering it.

i mean we do have a great midfield when fit

with Fyfe Mundy and Barlow inside and Hill Crowley and both Pearce's

but just looking at that stat in isolation to me seems like that we don't have multiple midfielders
who can take over when the game is slipping from our grasp say like Ablett and Bennel can for Gold Coast or
Pendlebury and Swan for Collingwood

We dont want 1 midfielder who does all the work, or who we turn to when the going gets tough

ANYONE, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE

add to the fact we are playing the very possession heavy swans this weekend
